I'm having a lot of trouble making heads or tails of things right now, so I'm going to join you. I'm still not convinced either way on potent, so I don't necessarily want him exiled outright, and Jortles is actually too damn good at this game and could be manipulating (which I'm also not convinced of). Anyway, I'll join you, giving us a Jortles/potent/SFA runoff. Real curious if maddog or rummy swaps to Kanye to give us a foursome
if I'm reading right, potent and SFA both get one, but Jortles doesn't. Rummy does. Yeah this isn't ideal

I mean it is what it is. You can't get a perfect runoff but this isn't any better than what you guys were upset about. Two folks that can hide behind self-preservation and someone that's made hyperbolic statements about 3 or the 4 people in the runoff.

Pretty much all the random thoughts I have conflict in one way or the other, but I have a weird gut feeling of some connection between Jortles and Potent. This post in particular kind of rubbed me the wrong way:
I'm beginning to think that the best thing for the doctor to do, if they are in the soup D1, is to die quietly, and leave it up to the town guessing whether doctor is still alive. I understand what Theo did and this is not a criticism of his move because it's a tough call to make at that time, but once again we have kneecapped the doctor role. The mafia has unwittingly, I think, this game found another way to exploit a role to their advantage when it's ultimately meant to level the playing field. Which is pretty frustrating to me.
Because as town having any morsel of "confirmed" info is so much better than guessing, which is most of what this game is as a normal townie.
Also Jortles voting Potent out of the gate early D2 feels like an easy distancing move when town is already pretty all over the place since we don't have much to work off of. I'm probably zeroing in on the wrong connection, but I bet there's a mafia on another mafia right now. Potent also jumped on Kanye a lot harder than I would have for mixing up me and Teddy too. Potent already has 2 votes on him so I'll go on Jortles. Anyone joining?

Look, I think you are the doctor (though in a minute I'm going to spell out how you might not be). But the "morsel" of information we have is that you are the doctor, and we get a second exile today. If you hadn't revealed, we let the chips fall where they may, you very well may have been exiled, but then we get a whack (morsel!), get all of the information on D2 that comes with the whack (discussion), and we don't have the negative effect of having a D2a where the town has no idea what's going on. At best it's a tradeoff, but I think (subjectively, sure) that confirming a townie through a whack is more helpful than confirming a townie through a failed whack/save. If you don't think that's an idea with any merit, then we just won't agree and you're blinded by the fact that you are the doctor this game and it was your decision.
Also, as I said above - it's not technically impossible that you are lying. You could be mafia, and mafia submitted no whack N1, which is advantageous to them to not tip their hand about who they are worried might be inspector, and allows the town to do the dirty work of eliminating other townies (and causing lots of confusion in the process). Again, I'm heavily on the side of you telling the truth - 95% or higher - but those who are 100% make me worried (cough Teddy cough) because it's not a 100% certainty to those of us who are normal townies - it's only a certainty to you if you are truthy, and to the mafia who tried to whack you (or whom you are part of).
I stand by my statement in that I'd be super surprised if there isn't a Mafia between the three of them. But as of rn, I don't have much of a leaning on which of those 3 I'm most suspicious of. So sure, I could've thrown my vote at one of the three in hopes that it landed on a Mafia, or, could throw someone else into the mix to see if it picked up any steam at all. I chose the latter.
I know I'll have to move soon now, and that's fine. Sorry if some of y'all find the 1-2 step of that comment above + now me having a revote to be sketchy, but...having a revote in D2R1 doesn't really mean that much IMO

This is important to recognize.
In this game, leading folks unintentionally astray can at times be more damaging to the Town than Mafia Manipulations to intentionally do so, IF the former occurs in the manner of like "well we know ___ is town, so we gotta follow THAT thread" -- and then more stock is put into said thread/theory/whatever than actually should be.

Potent has 3 votes on him, I was looking at the wrong post. Also I'm not too much of a fan of Kanye announcing that his post was a long train of garbage then continually backing it up while agreeing that there wasn't too much substance to it.
I said it has substance to me but it probably is garbage to you guys because you don't think like I do

The doctor can't save anymore. They only get one save a game. It is pointless for the doctor to keep hiding right now. Theo is doctor.
