I still think mafia would probably rather argue out of their voting record than actually vote off their own
Eh, I mean...it really depends on the grouping [of Mafia] and even individual? " I find it sorta foolish for you to declare blanket statement of "mafia would prob rather ____ than ____" when playing styles and risk-taking willingness varies wildly among diff ppl when Mafia
Didn't you say a blanket statement about mafia trying to manipulate who they'd vote for since we're planning?
Worrying about mafia manipulating shit is sort of tiresome to me. They are lying the entire game - manipulation is their job. We have to overcome that. I think we usually play thinking that everyone is manipulating everything, and just figuring out which manipulations are agenda-driven is the important part, and the tough part of course.
I prefaced it with being very clear about the fact that I think your logic is sound. That's just the one caveat I perceive as being potentially troublesome. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't do it.
I wasn't really addressing you specifically except that you were the last person to worry about mafia manipulation. My point is that they are going to manipulate whatever we do. That's the whole game. Worrying about mafia manipulating something seems to me as pointless, that's all.

I forgot about Potent's post in the Mafia Rules thread. Really nice move if he is Mafia.
Rummy is now a Town read of mine to join Carini and Dan. The thing about Carini is I do think it was weird that I had to save him on D1. I feel like that shows he isn't mafia. If Dan is Mafia with those two moves, bravo.
If three Maf are left I bet 2 of them are withing the grouping of SFA / Silver / Maddog and then I'm fucking up one of my Town reads.
I have questioned multiple people today, chill out.
I will say, this game feels easier w/o SS but I kind of want to flip things.
Some of Dan/Potent/Carini with Jortles/Surfer would be nice.
Don't have much read on rummy/sfa, but both kind of playing down the middle.
Most troubling thing to me is Jortles transition from "Kenny FUCKING Powers" to Stevie Janowski. The cockiness isn't there, activity going back and forth, something off.
D1R1 1. Carini > Theo 2. Dan > Teddy 3. King T > Danbob 4. Theo > Carini 5. Jortles > Teddy 6. Maddog > Jortles 7. Rummy > King T 8. Teddy > King T 9. SFA > Potent 10. Silver > Carini 11. Carini > Theo > Dan 12. Carini > Theo > Dan > Rummy 13. Potent > SFA 14. Carini > Theo > Dan > Rummy > King T 15. Carini > Theo > Dan > Rummy > King T > Teddy 16. Potent > SFA > Theo 17. Danbob > Teddy > Jortles 18. King T > Dan > Carini 19. Jortles > Theo > Tranter 20. Jortles > Theo > Tranter > Theo 21. Maddog > Jortles > Theo 22. Theo > Carini > Jortles 23. Potent > SFA > Theo > SFA
D1R2 24. Carini > Theo 25. SFA > Carini 26. Potent > King T
D1R3 27. Danbob > Theo 28. Theo > King T 29. King T > Carini > Theo 30. Theo > King T > Carini 31. Carini > Theo > King T 32. Jortles > Theo > Carini 33. Maddog > Theo > King T 34. King T > Theo > Carini 35. Danbob > Theo > King T
(to switch it up) first four carini, theo, danbob, king t
little notes... dan, rummy, potent each voted for both exiles. surfer has not voted for any exile. jortles was in play to exile theo, but ended up not being a part of either exile.
something about rummy feels sort of fishy. no 'real' votes on her in D1. in N1 she had pressure, but looking at it now, it's (from my pov) 2 town, with 8 other players not voting for her, despite having no real understanding of her role. while she hasn't had a kill shot like dan has, she's there in both.
rummy/potent/dan seems like a nice 3 to wittle down. don't think surfer should lose heat/pressure, but in interest of switching things up and keeping someone in, id be fine with those new two and rummy.

Jortles > Potent > SFA
I don't really follow this.
Often, people look at those who saved someone/were saved as possibly being mafia.
Often, mafia has been stuck on someone and debated whether moving to save was a good idea.
Some times it is, some times not. But I wouldn't go so far to say that saving someone (regardless of when) means they aren't mafia.

What Im saying is, it looked like Carini was going to be left to die outright in an early round. I think if he was Mafia, someone else would have saved him or called more attention to the scenario.

Mafia could easily just wait it out though. I know I’ve done it before

I don't buy it as a reason Carini isn't mafia, but I do buy it as a reason that you and Carini aren't mafia together.

I've used this line of reasoning in round 1 several times. It's one of the scenarios that usually cause me to make an early vote switch. I think it's a decent reason to give someone a break on Day 1 but you can certainly get burned later in the game.

Mafia could do anything, sure. Working with what we have here.
