There are 165 possible combinations at the start of a game. I eliminated 108 possibilities just with the knowledge that Dan, Theo, and me are town. I also eliminated Carini/Silver/Teddy, and will eliminate combos of those three with SFA, because I don't think two teammates of SFA would vote for him there and risk it.
I'm working on eliminating other combos. I'll see what I can do during this zoom call, probably nothing as I have to take handwritten notes.
Would you like me to switch my vote over to your teammate Kanye instead? Am happy to do so, dependent on if Theo & MD want to go that direction too

I'm wholly aware that my original inclination (that one of you/Kanye is Maf but not both) could absolutely be true, in which case maybe it is Kanye and not you. Maybe it is you and not Kanye. Either of these are possibilities.

Still feel that out of all living players Dan points the most at Kanye. I'll place my vote there to try and even things up a bit.
I mentioned this last night but if Dan really was inspector we should probably consider who he helped get voted off. That might give at least a little bit of clarity.

So looking back at D2b, MD is actually the one who moved off of Jostles onto Carini, which was when Dan & I were both annoyed that Jostles slipped out again. I don't think this paints Dad Dog as guilty because as town, we all make mistakes that later on, once we have more info, we look back on and curse our previous selves for. It happens. But I do find it kinda amusing here, since he's so strongly on the Jostles Train (as he should be) now.

potentpotables I understand it well enough. Maybe I wasn't clear because I was half asleep. My point was that based on Teddy's posts it would seem we are both implicated pretty evenly. So when you said I could have been his given name I felt compelled to point out that's very much not clear from the timing and content of Teddy's posts. Which I think I pointed out like 10 pages ago. Hard to keep up. It's where I also said it would be dumb for both of us to vote for Teddy and risk him revealing if we thought he was inspector. Which we likely would have if we were mafia together.

This tracks so well with the game where Zolah was dead set on me being mafia in this same situation on D3 with no inspector (that game). And then I viewed her amount of confidence as a clear indication that she was Mafia. And we both ended up being Town.
Trying to learn from that mistake and just remember that people really can play this badly as Town, and that Rummy doesnt have to be Mafia rn.

I wouldn’t be this headstrong and closed minded about it with the game on the line. I see what you saw, but have not insta voted for Kanye. If Mafia were confident that Teddy was Inspector, all they would need to do is whack someone that points towards none of them to close up the game.
These eliminations are based on the assumption that three mafia were not on the same person at the end of D1. Obviously Danbob out there by himself doesn't really impact this.

He just looked ridiculously different. Im close to just throwing that option out on the basis that we can at least blame Danbob and the rest of town can be absolved of responsibility for losing in that scenario.
I really hate this "this person was different this game" style of analyzing someone's play.
Its less “hes different” and more “hes playing as if he has a role.” And I think its more reliable than reading votes, which are the easiest for mafia to manipulate.

I also hate the worry about mafia manipulation. I long for the game where they tell us D1 who are mafia.
