Because it wasn't clear enough from his move that he was inspector. Not certain enough to risk the doctor living and having to deal with that shit. We actually thought Dan had my name at first by his early behavior in round 2. That plus the King T whack made him a top suspect. I was playing based on that by the runoff. King T was the first to be really set on Dan. Not sure we would have even whacked Dan if it wasn't for him.
We actually partial picked him based on who we thought on the players might have as inspector. As in, If so and so came out and only had Carini it would look better on SFA.

I think both times I've played with you as Mafia, you've killed inspector. I kept thinking about that one game from last year like "is SFA just this good at getting Inspector?" But it sounds like it was Tranter.

It absolutely sucked. I'm saying this from just a general player prospective. I said in the mafia thread and I'll repeat it. I won't play another game with the role in it. It might work on boards with less talk but it's a fucking disaster for our style of play here.
A little twist of fate and town would have lost both those rounds and never got the inspector. That's not to take away from your move to Carini. Credit where it's due. But you know what I mean.
I can't imagine that Town has ever won before Day 4 with no Inspector reveal. Right?

Were you distancing or had you already given up when you were the deciding lock on Carini (fingers crossed that you hadn't given up at that point).

I mean we changed opnions around a good bit in the second round because it was a fucking 30 page shitshow. We all had an eye on Dan for obvious reasons but if you want to point to the player who keep their eye's set on Dan it was Tranter.
My mafia teams have a pretty good record of it. Several games where we figured it out early in round 1.

No, you almost did exactly what we were hoping. We wanted people's suspicion of me to cause a switch. That's why I gave a flippant answer. lmao We hoped someone would save Carini. And if inspector lived they had my name.... giving Carini a little town cred.
I was playing with the idea I'd get voted off in mind. I wasn't lying tho. My head wasn't really in the game at times and I had a hard time finding time. I really didn't have any hope I could make it to the end. Just a couple little burst of energy and a window.

1. I do think your confidence toward me and kanye did prove to be unwarranted, and was bad playing on your part. But I did have you as Town up until I was confident that Tranter and SFA were mafia. At that point, I was looking for a third because there was no way I believed we had 2 under our belt already. When I was saying "Rummys worst game" it was being used as a way for you to just think twice about how confident you were (if you were town). I had to find a way to break that confidence. I don't think I did with that approach. It sounds like I did later. But I felt like I had to try to avoid us going into a war or I was going to be lynched and the in my mind that would mean the town would lose.
2. I posted that post and left in all of my embarrassing misses and terrible judgement in there to balance out the bragging im doing about the stuff I got right. That would have been very bad. I was about to get very tunnel visioned for sure. And whats worse. I almost posted that a good bit before the deadline. And that may have blown up the whole game and let SFA shake free now that I think about it.
I can promise that I was thinking of every angle possible to get you to get off the me / kanye train. I felt like being a dick was the right move there. Maybe it wasnt. Was bringing out all the stops because I again thought the game was about to be over if I got exiled. I'm talking in circles just hope you dont take anything personally.

Oh dude. I didn't know I was supposed to give you, Mafia, credit. But I was so sold on you being Mafia. When you guaranteed T or carini was Mafia, it made me think that was something you wanted to be right about and it was the entire reason I went back and investigated Dan / Tranter. 1000% was in a mindfuck before that thinking about Teddys weird fucking ass which I still have no idea what was up with his play style.
