A trade of round 49 and 50 draft picks for the creation of a poster has been disputed on the grounds that it is unrealistically lopsided.
Rule:
7) Trades are allowed. All participants must verify the terms of the trade. (Note: Trades are subject to dispute. In the event that a trade is believed to be unrealistically lopsided, a participant can call for a poll on the validity of said trade.)

As I said in the thread, it rewards skill outside the scope of the game and shouldn’t be allowed. People who are good at graphic design shouldn’t use that to get more draft capital.
I think that a relevant way to look at it is that participants have been making posters for each other since the beginning without compensation so essentially this is a trade of two draft picks for nothing... which is lopsided.
What’s the point of a free design if designs aren’t even considered for the competition anyways? No one is being snarky. For you guys to say this is about the lineup it seems that you put a real emphasis on everything else. I mean this is my first time playing, but I would assume it puts them at an advantage if the artwork is popping. Like I said before, I’m honestly just surprised at how against the idea some of you are considering the stakes and activity at hand.
I've done posters for players when I haven't even been playing.
The posters are a perk, which is why people usually offer their services. But to straight up trade picks for design is just shady and kind of shitty to the person losing the picks.
And again there are websites for free, that have designs you can customize.
My counter to this is that as a professional designer, a real lineup poster costs at least $1,500. So two picks for design services is lopsided against the designer. But I do understand the argument that it creates an advantage outside the context of the game.
And to be clear, Jones initially offered video services for poster design services but my lineup video is almost done, so he offered two picks instead for compensation.
None of this explains why I shouldn’t be able to do with my picks what I want to do with my picks. Are people worried that he would win based on these two additional picks or I could win because of the art? I get what everyone here is saying, but I don’t view it as shitty or shady considering it won’t directly impact the outcome of the game. For this to be a lighthearted, FANTASY game it kind of loses it’s fun when are so constrained by rules or just being super serious about them. Is this real life or is their money on the table? No? Let’s keep it fun then.

It is tedious work which is why originally wanted to give up services or picks for it. I had no idea that all of this would happen as a result though.

”it is a fantasy game so there shouldn’t be rules” is a sizzling take

Oh I’m good with rules, but some of you are a little overbearing when it comes to a game on a forum. I’m still curious though if the backlash is because his two extra picks would push him over the top, my art would seal it for me, or you guys just legit feel bad for something that I feel 100 percent confident in. All you guys have said is that it’s in the rules even though it’s actually not.

the backlash is trading picks for services
Also what do you mean by “feel bad” thing
Eh, I’m prob reading into it wrong there since it’s more about the people who do it for free and have never gotten anything as a return.
I’m still not hearing any valid reasons as to why it’s wrong besides you didn’t capitalize on the opportunities when you had them and other people think it’s bad too.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
