Dude we just did two different versions of Tribe. We only have 4 overlapping.
I saw your Q Tip but maybe missed the Tribe one.
Edit: I see it now. Seeing 8 crossing over. Think mine is a little more Tribe for beginners. You have like 5-6 that I cut when trying to shave down to 1:45 haha

I purposely set up my list like a 2nd course. I think it's pretty perfect, I added your list to my spotify
Grinding Ross: Hustlin' - Ross (classic) I'm A G - Ross, Wayne, Brisco (love this song) All About the Money - Ross, Gucci (looove this fucking song) So Sophisticated - Ross, Meek (essential) The Boss - Ross, Pain (essential)
Swanky Lounge Ross: Mafia Music - Ross (some good dense stuff in this. mafia music II isn't on spotify, but also has really solid dense lines) Maybach Music - Ross, Jay (jay doesn't have a lot of great features imo, i like this one) Maybach Music II - Ross, Pain, Wayne, Kanye (see previous wayne comment, kanye nails it, beginning of a beautiful working relationship) Maybach Music III - Ross, TI, Jadakiss, Badu (everyone brings their A game on a Maybach, IV and V suck though lol) Aston Martin Music - Ross, Drake, Chrisette (pretty big hit, not my favorite, but in this run it fits and holds its weight) Magnificent - Ross, Legend (this song fucks, and might be the most complex beat in the whole list, just tons of instruments at some points, really pretty. this is the one to show normies to trick them into the trap songs on shuffle) Luxury Tax - Ross, Wayne, Jeezy, Trick Daddy (good song, nice swanky beat) Gunplay - Ross, Gunplay (fun beat, nice deeper gut, idk really know much about gunplay but he's good on the stuff he shows up on with bun b/asap) Black Opium - Ross, DJ Premier (are you even hip hop without a Primo track?)
Back to Trappin: (this is mostly Teflon Don, deal with it) I'm Not A Star -> John - Ross, Wayne (much prefer Star, the gremlin line gets me so pumped, both essential) Live Fast, Die Young - Ross, Kanye (looooove this song, 100% MBDTF session vibe) MC Hammer - Ross, Gucci (bangs) BMF - Ross, Styles P (bangs)
Encore: Sanctified - Ross, Kanye, Sean (love this song. the good kanye where he loves jesus, but not tooo much) Lord Knows - Ross, Drake (great song, chopped version is nasty) Devil in a New Dress - Ross, Kanye (peak)
The future?: Hard Piano - Ross, Pusha (not their only song together but their best) BIRDZ - Ross, Curry (cool to see him work with Curry. Floridia men need to stick together with the world out for them.) Money in the Grave - Ross, Drake (definitely the best newer song he's been on)
Credits: 100 Black Coffins - Ross, RZA (this songs way better than purple lambo w/ skrillex, and we need a silver screen closer)
Can someone do a Genesis primer (both Gabriel era and Collins era, separate or combined makes no difference to me)? I've listened to a lot of their stuff, but would love to see something compiled.
Iron Maiden would also be an awesome list if anyone is so inclined.

Your lineup playlist was my primary motivation for asking actually, so that works out well. Thanks!
I was wondering if that might have been what brought it up. I'm happy to hear it sparked an interest!
Here's my rough draft playlist. I'm happy to have any input or suggestions. I stuck mainly with studio stuff because the live recordings can get more rambling.

I know we are still very early in the project, but I want to point out that it could be interesting if this eventually evolved into an encyclopedia of sorts where we had 2 playlists for every artist (not literally every artist). 1 that had the hits and obvious essentials that was a true primer to help you understand what the impact of the artist was. Probably shorter in length as a way to quickly introduce an artist to someone that actually has bo clue what they are about. And then youd have another 2-6 hour playlist of deeper gems that youd decide to dive into if you were familiar with the primer but wanted to dive deeper. Or you just listened to the primer, loved it, and wanted to become a hardcore fan of an artist.

Love this. A primer and a deeper dive
Make Jortles Tribe Called Quest the primary, and mine the secondary, and I'm about to expand on it
