saw it at Osheaga, it was definitely less dancey, more just kinda artsy / interesting. most people probably won't prefer that, but after having seen him like 4 times i definitely did.
Seen him numerous times and a fan of his stuff, but that new show that I saw last year was def the worst I've seen. I don't see anything interesting in smashing flowers pots on the floor or smashing a copy machine to nothing with a hammer. There's nothing deep, meaningful or whatever behind it either, it's just him having fun on stage.. Which is fine, it's just not enjoyable to watch and def not to dance to lol, completely breaks of any flow that you wanna create within a show.
nah. he's actually the most talented mainstream producer out there.
I was mostly joking. As far as that kind of thing goes I'd absolutely agree. Of all the big font EDM names you'd get at a multi-genre festival he's easily one of the most palatable.

i mean yeah i probably wouldn't pay to see it again, i just remember being pretty satisfied by it, especially as someone that loved the Hi This Is Flume tape.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Flume. The live show extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the beats will go over a typical listener's head. There's also Flume's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these songs, to realise that they're not just bangers- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Flume truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the drop in Flume's smash hit "Never Be Like You (feat. Kai)" which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Flume's genius wit unfolds itself on their festival stages. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂
And yes, by the way, i DO have a Flume tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎
Flume was never that good live but he was especially bad when he decided to mix for like 40% of the show, jump around the stage, plant flowers, weld, and smash things with a big hammer. He’s an amazing producer but I don’t think I need to see him again

Love Tame but they don't really feel too exciting by this point. I would personally love a shot at redemption of seeing Bruce because I slept straight through his set in 09 to give myself some juice for NIN/moe LN. Grace Jones, eh? That sure would be something!
Yeah I posted around then that I'm not updating lineups unless you pm/tag me or Tranter with it
Why is that? Just add the names according to the rounds they were picked in?
It's just a lot easier. We're about to be doing triple picks. Also a few people still aren't typing out their picks so I can't copy and paste.
It's an inconvenience for me or T to update the lineups when most people are doing their own billing and everything anyway. Why put in the work to update it when were just gonna get tagged 10 mins later with proper billing

But each there own method ofcourse.
