this is one of those lineups that looks better on the poster for me tbh. Love the Saturday What run though. Poppy on the Other is a bit odd. EWF has a really weird placement too.
The thought behind putting stuff like Dorian Electra, Poppy and LIZ on the Other is to break the programming of the Other open a bit with electro pop. That new album of hers will have the kids raging between the riddim and brostep. (Brostep also has a subgenre specifically integrating metal influences into their music so she fits nicely imo).
With some of the shit ppl have put on The Other, you find Poppy odd? I mean, you feel how you feel, but...
What else besides that and EWF’s placement do you think would be good to change, so the schedule radiates the same Positive Vibes as the poster?
hey you asked for nitpicks
Radiohead at 1:50 is a big headscratcher
That's for how long I saw them both at Rock Werchter and Lollapalooza Berlin, on the former they were scheduled for two hours but stepped down after 1'50 so (they did the same thing at Best Kept Secret aswell).

I'll state at the top. I don't feel like most of these are Bonnaroos, but I can find stuff I like on all of them. Just putting it there, so I don't keep repeating it in my comments.
Dragon and Passionpits
Thur. I know nothing but Wand. That's probably realistic. Except they probably wouldn't play on Thur.
Fri. Tinariwen> Lucy Dacus> Violent Femmes> Low (I don't think Ray is big enough for that spot)> Brittany Howard> Devo> Spiritualized> Rihanna> Anthrax> Superjam> Charli> Fuzz
Sat. Lady Lamb> Kevin Morby> Caroline Polachek> Tyler Childers> ELO> Kim Gordon> Ham sandwich> Superjam
Sun. Helado Negro> The Wailers> Tanya Tucker shouldn't be in a tent> JEW> Fleet Foxes (I think that actually happened at SK)> Pharrell> Jorja Smith> Realistic with me skipping the Sun. headliner
I don't think I'd buy tickets for this one. There's nothing big drawing me there other than Rihanna. You have to remember, we quit going after 16 and were planning to go back this year. It would take a lot to get us to go back.
Frazzledrip Time
No schedule? I enjoy this lineup, probably one of the best other than our own.
Theo Flair Dream Team
Thur. I don't really know anything here. I've heard that Knocked Loose is probably something I would like?
Fri. LP> Silversun Pickups> Two Door Cinema Club> Foals> Vampire Weekend> Mogwai> fighting my way back to where my wife is for her fav band Foos> Chemical Brothers (this is a really good day)
Sat. White Reaper> Quelle Chris> ETID> Franz Ferdinand> Cat Empire> Gogol Bordello> Beyonce> Daughters playing roo is hilarous, we almost drafted them> Rob Zombie is way too big for a tent
Sun. Haley Heynderickx> GBV> Courtney Marie Andrews> Punch Brothers> Weird Al> SZA> King Crimson> Stevie (great Sun.)
I'd definitely go to this fest and it's actually like a Bonnaroo.
Thur. Chon> WWPJ> Parcels> Lily Allen> serpentwithfeet> Deftones> Pixies great, but neither of those are in a tent lol > Ariana> Oysterhead, sucks to miss Big Boi
Fri. TWISBP> US Girls> Tennis> Damian Marley> Foxing> Lukas Nelson> Loretta Lynn> DCFC> The Internet> Ham sandwich> Robyn>
Sat. Mdou Moctar> Pinegrove> Michael Kiwanuka> Hayley Williams> Highwomen> Lianne La Havs> Lana> McCartney (really like this day)
Feel like our bookings are specific enough to not have the need for a big dj act that's borderline Which-level. Besides, check the schedules of the past 3 years. The biggest A-level dj's there has been was only Kaskade (with stuff like Odesza and Bassnectar playing on the big stages). Roo doesn't book a lot of A level-dj's so we didn't either.

Still think you're missing anything big on the Other that's not Which level. last two years have had Carnage, Snakehips, Virtual Self, Glitch Mob, Kaskade, What So Not, Slander, Alison Wonderland, Illenium, Gramatik, Zhu, RL Grime which are all bigger than almost anything you've got there.

Eh, to me acts like Seven Lions, Jai Wolf, Malaa are playing in the same league as all the rest of those names with the exception of Kaskade (check out schedules of Ultra and EDC for example). Plus we wanted to improve some shit on there aswell with adding live stuff on there with Gryffin and The BB (in favor of those bigger names) and some heavy wook shit to close off each day. Virtual Riot and Funtcase fit that bill and are relatively big within the bass community so - sure they're no Excision or Zeds Dead but that's alright. Can't have em all.

I'm all for improving the Other, you seemed to have other ideas about it when it came to my lineup though. Poppy is less realistic than someone like MIA which you guys said was impossible

I've never said that?

Was meeeee
I said Omar Souley was impossible. MIA unlikely.
But then got corrected & am fine with that. I haven’t experienced The Other before, so I admit I had a slightly different vision of what it comprises

1. Amanda Shires 2. Anamanaguchi 3. BCUC 4. Dream Wife 5. Ducky 6. Femdot 7. GG Magree 8. Herobust 9. Huxley Anne 10. KAINA 11. King Tuff 12. Melii 13. Nubya Garcia 14. Particle Kid 15. Sicaria Sound 16. Stone Jack Jones 17. St. Panther 18. The Jauntee 19. The Magpie Salute
Superjam: A Tribute to John Prine Superjam! featuring Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris, Lucinda Williams, Dan Auerbach, Amanda Shires, Conor Oberst, Phoebe Bridgers and members of The Mountain Goats
Superjams: Tennessee Whiskey: A taste of Nashville
Justin Timberlake was honestly the act I thought we would get with the 10th pick in the draft. I don't understand how he only got drafted as a superjam guest.
The music industry is pretty broad but I can give insight on how it’s split up. First of all there’s the recording and live industry. In live music, you can either be on the talent end of things (management, touring), a buyer (festival/concert promoters and venues) or a seller (agencies). If you want to be an agent, the best way to do it is to start interning at the big 4 agencies (CAA, WME, UTA, and Paradigm formerly Windish). If you want to be a promoter then I recommend you start local in your community. You can really make an impact by bringing quality music to your city.
You didn't say anything that was wrong, per say, but it's a bad look that you ignore all the workers in the industry. Both union labor workers and roadies, it's part of the industry that literally connects and has perceptive knowledge. We are not a throw away.

Well there’s a lot that goes into live events that I didn’t get to mention.. Production, operations, ticketing, artist relations & hospitality, marketing, design/branding, press, etc. I was talking about the booking side of things.
Also, would Major Lazer play second to last on Other after closing Which last time?
I thought 12-1 AM spot on The Other would be more prime than later in the night where the overall energy of attendees would be a bit less, that's why I put them there. I might swap with FP though
JAZ/FRED T: EX EYE > Chai > Nothing > Aldous Harding > Tourist > Confidence Man (great for me, but surprised no one has mentioned this Thursday, it's probably the biggest Thursday in terms of act size drafted but people got in trouble for having like the Districts on Thursday) F: Dua Saleh (are they eligible Fred ?) > Drive By Truckers > TLC > Harry Styles > Jesus & Mary Chain > King Gizz > Disco SJ (not a lot that gets me excited here but I'd be pretty hype for Harry, Gambino literally just headlined) S: Shame > Mon Laferte > ???? > Broken Social Scene > FKA Twigs > Beach House/Roisin Murphy (bad conflict) > Gaga > Slowdive > FlyLo (kinda big gap with nothing for me early, love this LN but I think Slowdive is a lot less realistic than like Palms Trax who probably costs $1000) S: Johnny Marr/Cate Le Bon (dont like this conflict) > EOB > Tinashe (on the Other is weird) > Metro Boomin > Nick Mason > Arcade Fire (probably my favorite day of your fest but not being a Arcade Fire fan brings it down a bit for me personally. SURVIVE and Tinashe wouldnt play the Other.)
What acts would you consider too big for Thursday? Might do some changes to dilute Thu a bit For your Sat, I'd suggest Mulatu Astatke (one of the biggest names in Ethio-jazz, I think you'd like him) > The Revolution (Prince's backing band, I've seen them once in ACL last year, pretty fun set) > Phosphorescent (also a name you'd like, I think, Muchacho is one of my favorite albums of his). I can see S U R V I V E on The Other, and Tinashe might be a stretch, but you can consider both of these a bit of an "improvement" for The Other IMO.

To be fair, as a worker, my job is to just let people know that that's the other half of the industry. Don't think it's personal. It's something that happens in my field constantly. And it's important to start looking at the production people as important assets too because we literally have to compete as well. But we don't get any love.
