The one thing that could make sense is to make it where the person with the last pick benefits most when things switch to 2 and 3. So making it on an even round.

When I was running a BBS, there was another local one called Denim & Diamonds. That's what it reminds me of, 90s shit. Late night Skinamax movie or TV show name for sure. Maybe a little classier since it's silk not denim.
