In all honesty I think it’s the solution to keeping things semi-realistic.
Nah if we have to make a rule like that then it doesn't really stop. It's way too small of an issue, if someone really wants to book like BTS to headline then go for it, they'll just get less votes for not being realistic
I was thinking it would more help us with unrealistic picks like Faithless or Kiasmos. Aphex, Chem Bros, Soulwax, etc would all be on the table, but we would have to get more creative with our supporting acts and I think that provides a more honest approach overall. I’m not crazy about the idea of subjectively choosing lineups based on realness and likability alone, especially without more clear guidelines.

If Bonnaroo’s only goal was to sell out then they’d just get BTS, Drake, and 21 Pilots every year. They obviously have a template and I don’t think BTS fits bonnaroo

It’s not a troll. If anyone can point to a single time in Bonnaroo’s history where they booked an act which was mostly Euro-centric and not overtly active in the USA I’d love to see it.
I think it would keep more in the spirit of having things being semi-realistic.

People here love BTS but hate Pearl Jam. What happened to this place?
People have... different and changing tastes? I'm sorry that Pearl Jam's new album is complete ass and rock is on the brink of death with no new rock bands being able to revive the genre and bring something new to the table that'd lead them to headliner status.
