No. To clarify, when I use the word "nomination", I mean (or try to mean) like what Pepe did with Frank, as in nominating an act from the pool. Artists in the pool can go unselected. They don't have to be nominated at all.

But people are naming acts that weren't one of the four they nominated, for their first turn here...so I am a little confused now?
The nomination pool is just so that it's not a total free-for-all in the first couple rounds. It's a compromise between having a talent pool like the Coachella Draft and having everything be eligible all at once. You don't have to nominate one of the four acts you chose.
