We should consider doing more than one act a day. This is gonna be sooooo slow.
We will consider this every weekend. It's going to go twice as fast starting on Monday, most likely. Think of this as being the sign-up period still and we're just doing a handful of acts early to show what it looks like.
If people want to start passing, we can get to another nomination. So, if anyone knows right now they aren't spending 47 or more on Kate Bush, they can pass and I'll start a rolling list. Once there are 12 passes, we can see what Pepe Silvia wants to nominate.
just seeing there's only 12 participants (13 now with fred i believe), so how will we have 12 passes? shouldn't it be like, half of the total participants?

Everyone has to pass. If anyone doesn't pass, we can't be sure they won't put a bid in by the time the period expires.
Votes on things like increasing picks/day only require a simple majority.
Schinkel is a key word I'm including, like a hashtag, to make it easier to search for this pass list. Randomized a Wikipedia page and got that.
I've got a couple fantasy football drafts coming up in about 45 minutes. If and when the remaining three dudes pass, Pepe Silvia may place an opening bid on his act at any time. You don't need me to be here.

Eventually we will be doing up to six artists a day. For the first four days, it's one per day. We started an hour and a half ago and two people have joined in that time. I know it's slow right now, but we will be going really fast soon. This is also why I came up with the passing system and I'm trying to establish that right now. If people are active and pass, we could do like five acts a day without changing any rules from what they are right now, before we've increased the picks/day.

oh trust me i do. i just think 2 acts per day in the beginning could just provide a little more interest to those who may not be interested in that singular act (as im not really that into kate bush and she was outside of my price range immediately).
