This makes it seem likely that Rage is out and they still haven't locked down a replacement and we won't receive the lineup until they do.
Either that, or they're operating under the delusion that they have to wait at least a full week after the Coachella announcement to announce their lineup, when most April - June fests have already dropped the full poster.

they would not have teased it Monday if they didn’t have a rage replacement already.

Spoon is out. Just announced a tour including a HOB show on 4/6.
im pretty worried about this lineup just judging by the amount of boston shows I wanna see
There's so much good shit in that Coachella undercard (top few lines are horrendous), I haven't checked to see who's already scheduled for Boston, but if half of those artists are still doing the circuit there's plenty of decent options for a festival the size of BC.

Dave Grohl's birthday is tomorrow, which they mentioned in the "lineup coming this week" hint on Monday... maybe they're dropping tomorrow..?
They always announce on Thursday and launch the new post-drop pricing immediately. I can't see them tampering with their standard operating procedure for timing the announcement and new pricing tier launch just to celebrate a musician's birthday. They've got their mind on their money, and their money on their mind.
Who knows, this could be another sort of announcement entirely. Maybe we'll find out if The Smoke Shop will be back with their wonderful BBQ waffle cones and if Halal Guys will be replacing Chicken & Rice Guys this year. #FoodVendorLineupDrop

For reference (and this is just Friday), IDK who's playing Boston, but if Coach had half decent headliners I'd think about making the trek
King Gizz Idles Peggy Gou The Marias CRJ Spiritualized Mika slowthai The Avalanches Princess Nokia The Regrettes (might not be average inforoo fair, but I think they're fun) Purple Disco Machine Arooj Aftab Amyl and the Sniffers Lawrence

Hypothetically, if they tried to book a big EDM-y artist for that 4th spot, similar to the Odesza spot in 2019, who would you wana see between say Rufus du Sol, Flume or Disclosure?
I listen to Rufus a lot more, but Disclosure is first only because i've never seen them. (Fun fact: the day they played Boston Calling in 2016 was 1 of only 2 days I've ever missed in the history of the festival.)

i really liked rufus at roo in 2018 but then at shaky beats the next year it just sounded like coldplay that was rooted in house instead of rock and was way less enjoyable - prob would give them another shot though

They've changed the website I think so something whether this afternoon or tomorrow feels imminent, it didn't used to open up with announced so far lineup on the homepage.

yea prob next week then, sorry to disappoint. most likely because they want to compete with Gov Ball
You'd think that they'd want to get the jump on Gov Ball, since that's the other big multi-genre festival in the northeast, and if you wait and let them drop first, you may end up losing some sales to people from this part of the country who have the time, money, and interest to attend one festival in the northeast.
Drop earlier, and some people will make their purchase right away. Drop the same week, and those same people are going to compare lineups and fewer will wind up buying Boston Calling passes because a percentage are going to prefer the Governor's Ball lineup.
