really curious if we’re getting any afters for this. only cool thing happening after the fest as far as i know is tokimonsta at the royale Friday the 27th
The only things listed for The Sinclair during that Fri-Sun are two dance nights in the restaurant. They're obviously waiting to drop the nightly aftershow lineup.
You could always get a Red Roof Inn or Super 8 within an hour's drive and then park off the subway line and ride it.
I'm guessing that hotels/motels closer to Worcester, Lowell, or Fall River/New Bedford would be cheaper. Maybe Manchester or Nashua, NH.
Fall River resident here
we don't have trains to boston, and won't until next year
the nearest station is not that close
They said they're driving up. They could drive daily from a remote hotel/motel and park at the end of Red, Green, or Orange Lines and take the T to Harvard Square.

Think I was able to find a friend with extra room for me to crash. We are right near public transportation so we should be good (no way ill be in any condition to drive)! Thx for the help yall.
Boston Calling gives much longer sets to subs than other fests so there is a good chance they get an 1hr 15 if they close a stage.
Give ‘em 8-10pm on the Blue on Sat
I could see them booking a Blue closer with a significant amount of overlap with the headliner if they played very different types of music, like they did with Sigur Ros and Chance The Rapper, but I don't think they'd do that with King Gizzard and The Strokes. Not exactly the same rock variant, but if they made sure that Travis Scott and Brandi Carlile didn't overlap at all, I doubt they'd overlap these two artists.
Whether this drops on phone app only this morning or on the website, as well, I hope that we get the traditional festival grid schedule right upfront, since that's the easiest way to wrap our heads around the who, what, where, and when of it all.
I really need Paris Jackson and Paris Texas play at the same time on Friday, so I can walk up to random staffers & attendees and ask, "Where's Paris playing?"
Schedule out on the app - surprised by the amount of major conflicts
Where? I noticed that you can click on an artist and get their stage and time, but where's the grid/chart that shows all four stages in vertical columns, so you can see what's happening at any given time?

Should be in the schedule tab of the app. Needed to be updated on your phone I believe.

I just downloaded the app yesterday. Can you actually see the schedule grid?
there's a couple of overlaps that aren't ideal, but i avoid the 2 major conflicts i anticipated and can see all of Haim/Rufus/NIN and all of Modest Mouse/Glanimals/Weezer/Metallica so i can't complain at all
Wait a minute, after checking out the Friday schedule closely, I think that whomever theorized that the Orange stage will be directly opposite the Blue stage at the other end of the soccer field may be right!!
The Orange acts are playing only between the set breaks on Blue, which makes sense if Blue and Orange are adjacent.
While I do like the idea of the Orange stage, I’m definitely gonna miss some artists I would have interested in because it runs later in the day, like Born Without Bones.
Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?

friday will likely just come in for NIN if i'm able to go
edit: jorgeandthekraken that's exactly why i said that even if i end up buying a cheap 3 day lol
