Yeah, I think I’ve come to terms with the conflicts I’m assuming we will see but I’m still pretty curious how it will all shake out. I politely request that RTJ/Black Pumas and Goose/Ripe do not overlap…
The one that is not for sure that i really really hope doesn't happen is Haim vs Rufus. I'm begging for Haim to be on Green before Rufus on Red, but there's a good chance Haim closes Blue and overlaps Rufus and that's going to bum me out because they're really the only 2 I care a lot about on Friday.
I've just accepted that it won't be possible to see all 3 of Modest Mouse/Glass Animals/Weezer on Sunday, but i still am stressing a little about which one it is that i'll have to skip. i think best case for me is skipping Modest Mouse and seeing all of Glass Animals and Weezer.
Yeah I think Sunday is bound to piss people off in some way, I’m still assuming GA will close out the Blue, be it during Weezer or half weezer and half Metallica. Either way GA deserve to be at least partly at night, they don’t deserve being stuck 2nd to last on the Green

there’s no way they’re on green, I could see them on red even and weezer on blue
Yeah, I think I’m just leaning on the fact that the Blue closer has been anything from the 3rd to the 5th artist on the day, the red stage closet has always been the 2nd name
I also think Weezer into Metallica makes much more “sense”
expecting this to be relatively conflict free but I’m gonna be so annoyed if Jbrekkie and Modest Mouse conflict sunday
You can't always tell from the poster, but I'd expect the Modest Mouse conflict to be with Goose, while something Ripe will be served at Breakfast time. Of course, if Goose gets a longer than expected set as you suggested on your Clashfinder, then who knows?
I'm always rooting for everyone I want to see on the undercard to play Blue. My schedule/stage predictions for anything before the subheadliners are always influenced by that.

i personally am not a fan of Goose or Ripe at all so I hope youre right

RTJ and King Gizzard are the unavoidable Red/Blue subheadliner overlap, although you may miss some of Black Pumas or RTJ dealing with travel time across the grounds. I don't think Goose and Ripe will overlap; actually, Ripe into Goose at the same end of the grounds would make some stylistic sense.

Yeah at this point I know I’m missing one of the three between RTJ, King Gizz and Black Pumas, and as much as I hate to say it I think Gizz is gonna be my odd man out

weezer closed blue in 2017, so there's precedent for that

They were billed 3rd in 2017 though, they are billed 2nd this year
It struck me as odd that Weezer was on Blue while Major Lazer played Red. Stylistically, Weezer seemed a lot closer to Tool than Major Lazer did and a closer fit for the side to side stages.
Then again, maybe festival sponsors want a healthy amount of foot traffic around their booths and if a festival books the day in a way that doesn't promote back and forth pedestrian traffic, maybe the sponsors will be unhappy. If you put all of the guitar rock at one end of the grounds and all of the pop and rap at the other end, some people would never leave one end of the grounds.

hot take: Glass Animals will have the largest crowd of the weekend. blue will be mogged if they follow their usual pattern of putting 3rd on their day acts closing blue

That scheduling decision is what makes me think “2nd on the day closes out red” is a pretty set rule

I’d rather this then have half the crowd intermixed with the folks waiting and holding their spot for Metallica and semi-uninterested in GA

If there wasn't Metallica, then they'd be the most on that day
It's confirmed, if you live in Revere or East Boston and were planning on taking the Blue Line into downtown Boston, to switch trains, that's not happening.

rough stuff. thank god for alewife
Well, if you actually live right on the Blue Line and don't drive, I suppose you could take a bus to Malden Center or Haymarket or a commuter rail stop, but that's going to complicate what's otherwise a fairly short trip.

MBTA runs buses along all Blue line stops. They are relatively fast and there is always one waiting

Of course, they're going to have shuttle buses replacing the Blue line service, but MBTA shuttles take a lot longer to get where they're going than the trains, because the shuttles queue up at the stations and wait to fill, and then get stuck at red lights like any other bus might.
OK, when you now go to the schedule page, there are links to download the app on Android and iPhone which I don't believe were there the last time I checked.
So, this has probably been done in anticipation of an imminent schedule drop.
