The selection of Gang of Four has been challenged.
Applicable rule:
20) An act that has released music or toured in the 2010s is eligible if an essential member of the band has died. Essential must mean a member so vital to the group that it is seen as extremely unlikely that the group will ever perform or release new music (without the deceased member) again or if the band has stated that they won’t perform again without the deceased member. Any disputes will be handled via poll or the agreement to drop the act from whoever picked the act. Examples of essential members: Neil Peart, MCA, the Allman Brothers.
At dispute is whether the death of Andy Gill in February is too recent to definitively know if whether the group will perform again or release new music.

Just for reference, the version of Gang of Four that's been touring since 2012 only has Gill from the original lineup in it. Gang of Four did perform in 2011 with Jon King, who is the other essential member of the group, but there is no indication that he is planning on touring in the future with the Gang of Four name.
This is a tough one but I'm voting against them. It would be a reasonable departure from the rules if it won but I'm gonna err on the side of how we've interpreted the rules so far.
