Good amount of shoe discussion on Random Thoughts 7, so I thought this might be a good thread to start up. Could be for festival fashion or just everyday stuff. There were a couple old threads about fashion but they were separated by gender ("girly" one came first, then a guy started a men's thread) and the OPs aren't regular posters anymore. This definitely falls into the category of something I'd want to wear to a festival, Kawhi Leonard's new Jolly Rancher-branded New Balances:
He looks good but I'd be fine with never wearing a cardigan in my life.
yeah tbh cardigans don't work on me either. even a regular sweater has to fit me just right. if it's too tight you can see my gut, but if it's just a bit too loose i look like a kid wearing a hand me down sweater.
IMO the oversize sweater look is great on women or young men with a specific slender frame. doesn't work on a 39 year old male accountant.

I wear hoodies a lot but I want to get a decent one that doesn't make me look like I'm totally not trying at all. I was looking at this one a few months ago, from Polo:
i generally just want to dress like Sid Mashburn all the time. he's a designer and retailer based out of Atlanta.
per his wife Ann, who is a female fashion designer, he's a "preppie hippie from mississippi" which is a frighteningly accurate description of me.
I really like those looks, but I'd be overdressed on the daily if i looked like that. I like those suede loafers a lot, but i'm trying not to buy clothes since I've bascially been wearing athletic shorts and t shirts for the past 5 months.
Most days (when I still went to work) it was some Gazelles, loafers/boat shoes, chinos and a polo/OCBD. basic southern preppie look i've rocked since HS. A blazer would get me weird looks unless I was at a conference presenting or something. Even the professors out here are on casual side of business casual. All my fancy clothes from my time at the Law Firm just sit in the back of my closet.

Can we do festival fashion here? No one has posted in the "girly fashion thread" in years and I'm kind of excited about the first festival outfit for Roo that I've purchased.
The skirt and the shoes. I was built for comfort, not for speed, so no bikini tops for me. Probably a tie-dye tank or something with it.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

I totally double layered in the early aughts. But never triple! Also, go watch an old episode of iCarly... The outfits are so bad. My stepdaughter and I were dying watching. 🤣😂
A bunch of my rollerboo's have it in gold. The gold one has been in my cart for years apparently. LOL I guess now is the time to put up or shut up. I guess I will make #4 or #5 or whatever.
