If anyone's curious I threw together an album of my favorite fits over the last few years. Day-to-day, rave/concert, and everything in between. Some masc some femme. I apologize for all the work bathroom selfies.

honestly usually not a fan of visible suspenders but the graveyard pic really works for me. and right next to it love the way you style that bleach dip denim jacket.
i also like the two fits with the tucked in shirts full cut jean.
Thanks! Yeah I don't dress formal often so I try to bring something a little extra when I have to.

Anyone have some technical pants they love? Like those water resistant, stretchy pants that cost waaaaaay too much money? I have a few pair but looking into other brands that I might love more.
Kinda late to this thread but Broken Planet Market just came out with some a month ago and I think just did a restock. They look pretty cool
Thanks! I'll look into them. Ended up going with a few extra pairs of the 686 Everydays. Need something to cover my legs touring churches this summer in the heat. Pretty sure nobody wants to stare at a naked Gisha while trying to learn about history.
if i made an album of my fits it would be so basic and boring. pretty much everyday i'm in grey/khaki/navy chinos and an OCBD, and rotating brown loafers/derbies. sometimes a blazer or a sweater to shake it up.
outside of work it's basically some patagonia baggies or tech pants, with a tshirt or henley. maybe a thrifted flannel thrown on top, and some beaten up, grey NB sneakers.
I don't wear jeans ever. I have one pair I had to buy for a wedding that I've worn twice in 5 years.
I like looking at all the cool fits people put together, but I don't get out enough to justify it. i'm fine being a basic suburban white dad.

I am looking for a luna moth cape but somehow ended up being directed to a MothMan cape and I didn't say no, that is for sure. Also, what could possibly go wrong with this Holy Mother of the Forest look?
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

i think we may finally be approaching a point of critical mass where we can start calling out the "dress sneaker" as unacceptable. the culture has been rumbling and whispering about them for years but i'm about ready to put my foot down and say "no more".
you can wear a dress shoe, or you can wear a sneaker, but i can no longer tolerate a leather dress upper attached to a white sneaker sole. it's gone on for too long.

i dunno what's weirder. seeing nerdy tech dudes in ill-fitting business casual with dress sneakers, or the doctors in wool slacks and monogrammed dress shirts with rainbow colored Hoka running shoes.

not saying i love either, but i'll definitely take the doctor with the hokas. doctors are weirdos anyway, and the sneakers are justifiable especially if they are in a hospital walking around a lot (though a properly fitted and constructed pair of dress shoes can be extremely comfortable for all day wear, IMO).
but a tech bro in ill-fitting business casual and dress sneakers just feels lazy and unintentional.
