What’s everyone’s thoughts on the court storming discourse? I think it’s fine, they just need to get the opposing team off the court first
this is what happens whenever tech wins. both teams shake hands, the other team gets off the court and into the tunnel, then mccasland will go up into the student section, celebrate with everyone for a second, then say “come on down!” and everybody will get on the court to sing the matador song.
I looked into Pistol Pete’s record that Caitlin Clark just broke, and that was insane. Prior to the 3 pt line and shot clocks, he put up over 44 pts per game to get that scoring mark in 3 seasons.

While I agree, one important number that is overlooked is that over his 3 years Pete averaged 38.1 field goal ATTEMPTS per game.
Over her career, Caitlin Clark has averaged 19.9 attempts per game. And that was actually down around 18.5 until this season.
Basically, Pistol Pete shot twice as many shots. He literally has every record for shot attempts in the ncaa and sec.
Statistically, I’d take Caitlin any day. Pete only really bests her in total PPG. She has been way more prolific in assists, rebounds. Her free throw percentage is like 9 points better. Her FG % are all better too.

Southern and Sun Belt finals currently going. #17 Gonzaga and #21 Saint Mary's both playing tonight for a chance to meet in the WCC final. Most wonderful time of the year.

I’m annoyed because VCU women’s team was 26-4 this year, but lost in R1 of the A10 tourney and have basically 0 chance at an at large. 26-5 in a decent conference should get some consideration, but maybe I’m just projecting my understanding of men’s bracketology and women’s ball is way more top heavy/power 5 centric
