Seth Towns' wild college ride came to an end last night at the ripe age of 26 after 8 years. He was leading BLM protests in Columbus in 2020, crazy to think that was his junior season.
ive resubmitted my bracket like thrice already, might do one or two more times before the deadline tomorrow. a primary question being: should i be a normie and go for UCONN to win it or choose a more interesting end result (since UCONN is so expected)
im a lifelong UNC fan but keep oscillating between having them go out before Elite Eight and before Final Four. it is a great team and i love watching them play, but i just dont see us in the final game this year. we'll see!
speaking of which, i might only be picking State to win their first game then go out -- but if they instead are able to continue the roll they're on and make it to Sweet Sixteen, i'll be so happy for them.

Tom Izzo stfu challenge. He said autobids for mid-majors has “got to be looked at seriously.” because “While everybody likes the upsets in the first round I’m not sure if that’s true as it goes on." Dawg you were very lucky to get in and get a 9 seed this year.

Feels like they're putting the pieces in place to ruin the NCAA tournament like they maybe have with CFB. I personally liked the idea of a CFB playoff and an expansion of the CFB but I don't like all of the stipulations major conferences are trying to put on it. Same for someone as high-profile as Izzo commenting on this. Very wary of it.

College basketball doesn’t need a tournament expansion, it should just expand the regular season to have room for an FA Cup style tournament. Would only take 11 added games to get down from all D1, D2, & D3 schools to a champ.

I like the general idea but 11 added games when the regular season is like 30 is not a small addition at all.

by the time of implementation they will be employees so they will be playing more than 30 games either way in order to increase revenue for the collective bargaining

Whatever your crystal ball says, expanding the season by a third is not an "all they've gotta do" situation.
I'm also guessing D-1 employees don't want to share revenue with D-3 players that basically play sports for fun.
ya not commenting on the FA cup style proposal. But would be fun. Just saying everyone is gonna be playing more because once everyone is rowing the boat together maximizing revenue will prevail
