I like the general idea but 11 added games when the regular season is like 30 is not a small addition at all.
by the time of implementation they will be employees so they will be playing more than 30 games either way in order to increase revenue for the collective bargaining
yeah, that was my logic. Seems reasonable to lengthen the season if they get paid. It’s already a very short season compared to the nba to begin with
College basketball doesn’t need a tournament expansion, it should just expand the regular season to have room for an FA Cup style tournament. Would only take 11 added games to get down from all D1, D2, & D3 schools to a champ.

could do just D1 to start it off and that’d be only 8 games (9 for some). Plus, not 8 games for all teams, just the ones that make it to the final. Most teams would have just 2 extra games.

Been a pretty boring set of day games for the most part. Hopefully we have some more competitive games in the night slots
yeah BYU/Duq was the only super interesting one to me this afternoon; both Akron and LBS started out really holding their own but then Arizona and Creighton both ended up running away with it in second half.
I’m personally quite excited for State/Texas Tech tonight. I’m a lifelong UNC fan and was basically rooting for State by the end of our ACC tourney game because they were killing it so hard. I’d love to see them keep their streak up.

This State team is a true joy to watch. DJ squared, Diara. And then the center sub Millbrooks had his CAREER high for points tonight. I wanna see them keep this fire streak up

Is Calapari officially washed? Hasn't made a final four since 2015 or a sweet sixteen in over four years.
I think Jay Wright really nailed it with this quote:
"The era of taking these young freshmen and trying to play against older players is over. I think he did a phenomenal job with these guys all year getting them to be as successful as they were. You can see they're playing against grown men. The guys on Kentucky will be far better pros than any of these guys on Oakland or any of these guys in the tournament. But they're not as good college basketball players. At this point in their career, they're not as disciplined yet as the guys from Oakland. It's not Cal's fault. It's they're 18 years old, and they're in this era where everyone's telling them how great they are. Just show up in college and you're gonna win. It doesn't happen that way. And the more the guys stay in college because of NIL, it's gonna be tougher for young teams like this to be successful."

That's not even the case. If the dudes had too much confidence this would make sense. They're scared shitless in these games.
