Time to get my shit talking in b4 Rutgers and Michigan today. Big Ten 5-0 ACC 1-4 SEC 1-5 PAC 0-3
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Lol chords. The school I root for in the top division is an ACC school. I mostly hate the rest of the ACC teams in football. I already hate both conference homerism (thanks SEC SEC SEC), and I despise Capital One. ( <— Lotta hate there). But that’s like bragging about having a big muscle in your ear or something. Maybe you could go back 5, 10, 20 years or however long they have done the cup and say x conference seems to dominate bowl games. But to me, what matters is championships. Big 10 has how many since 1990? That’s about 31 years. I think Michigan has one and Ohio State has 2. If so, that’s less than 10% or not many. I wonder how that rates with the PAC 12 and Big 12?
I’m not shit talking in favor of the ACC. I went to a Southland school. Haha. But you wanted to talk that trash which of course should never go unanswered. HNY

My man. Keeping me grounded. Sounds like the only thing we can agree on is that Michael Thomas is the most overrated receiver of all time 😎
If Bama and UGA lose today does that make South Carolina the best team in the SEC? Cookin' Mama
it does
At this point, fuck it. Let's go with a Michigan-Cincinnati title game. It would be nice to have one that nobody saw coming at the beginning of the season.

I don't know that bowl games are any more or less stupid or of greater or lesser quality than just regular college football. At least the teams playing are theoretically of even stature in the bowls. 80+% of college football games are just trash anyway.

If ever there was a time for "one man's trash is another man's treasure"!
I don't think there's a single thing (on the field) I hate about college football except for officiating.

I'm talking mainly about competitive balance. How many matchups do you look at in college football where you know immediately who is going to win? I think the vibe of a college football game when it's good is definitely better than the NFL, but there are so many schedule wins and losses.

Bowl games are absolutely dumber than an expanded playoff though

it's definitely true from the macro level on a given Saturday, but like 3-5 of those games never go the way you think, and figuring those out and watching how they go sideways is part of the fun!
Yeah. My youngest brother was the only one of us to go to a major school, and that’s where he went. Tallahassee is about 5:45 from here so just far enough to be away but not so far that he couldn’t come home if he wanted to. They won the national championship his first year which was 93 or 94.
What did it fall to? I was at the casino the other day and Alabama was +120 to win it all. Even if they do, it’s not a good value bet. Cincinnati was +1600, but I felt like they weren’t likely to get through 2 powerhouse teams. So I said fuck it and didn’t bet. I almost went this am to catch a couple NFL moneylines, but the odds were so terrible online that I said fuck it and just went to the horse track to get a little fix. The caller there is 65% this season on wins places or shows, so I just bet a few races on his recommendations. If I hit one more of the next 3 I should be up.
An aside is that Louisiana is utilizing live sports betting at most of the casinos and racetracks, but we also went with 5 online betting licenses where you don’t have to be on premises to use. I like that but I feel like it will be trouble for compulsive gamblers.
I get bored watching pro football and I’ve never been able to connect with a team and stick with them. College football is so much more fun. You never know what’s going to happen. It also helps that Clemson is right here and is king of everything around here.

Pregsmr I got Alabama -13.5 and under 57. Next one I don’t trust the o/u. May have donated some parlay money back playing Michigan +7.5
