You can drop acts without refund at any time but if you want a different stage placement then it needs to be approved. Then you can fill the slot you’re missing as long as that phase of the draft is over.

didn’t realize we can draft an act without any intention of them playing the stage we’re currently on. thought if we wanted to go for big acts that are still on the board that don’t fit the last two stages we had to wait till the end of the game?
Gonna go ahead, spend some more money and pick up ZHU and put them in the Main Frame and move Earthgang to Sector 3.
I also think the board sleeps on ZHU a bit. I’ll never forget at Roo in 2019 he had a guitarist and sax guy supporting him. During Desert Woman (I think?) they were “dueling” each other with riffs back and forth against an all red background.

If they don’t fit the remaining stages it doesn’t really matter if we wait until the end.

“Because every participant’s lineup must have 46 acts total and a specific number of acts per phase/stage, participants are free to drop any acts at any moment in the draft without a refund. Dropped acts do not go back into the talent pool. If at the end of each phase, a participant has less than the acts required per phase, they must use their remaining budget to fill all slots.”

i get that, still doesn't address drafting for a stage different than the phase we're currently in.

By trading, dropping an act, or moving an act to another stage, that opens up an empty slot in Main Frame. Since the Main Frame phase is done, the person can fill that slot whenever. Jortles did it with Disclosure, Tranter with Parcels, etc.
I think it's more whack that someone else could've conceivably picked zhu and done this on their turn, weird you can make picks randomly in the middle of the turn.
even the rule sort of makes it seem like you have to wait until the end of the phase to fill holes.
I’m fine with people switching an act from one stage to another but picking up an act for a phase we aren’t currently in...I feel like that shouldn’t happen til the very end?
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Didn't really think I would've have this much money left. The plan was always to save up as much money as possible on MF and Iso (which some of you have pointed out to me and YCM, I think once?) to be able to justify and be comfortable booking Sade and have a decent undercard. So picking stuff like Earthgang, Danny Brown and Caroline Polachek are acts that are either on the rise and/or would be okay with a bump. That said, I understand where you're coming from since this comes so out of the blue and most other stage changes (I think?) have been because they happend to happen on the person's turn. Would it have been more okay if I asked for a stage change when it was my turn to pick? I don't think that TV has ever said there would be a certain point after the draft that we could just collectively ask for a stage change or book acts to replace others and also since there have already been stage changes during the draft already as we went on.
