That and a DJ set that was fairly widely panned.
She got a lot of shit from people who said they couldn't see her (I couldn't see her and didn't realize the set had started because it felt pretty similar to the between-set music), and then she accused those people of misogyny because we couldn't see Aphex Twin either (because he was playing under a tarp outdoors in the rain). So she compared her DJing abilities and presence to Aphex Twin in his first show in six years or whatever it was after having DJed for a year or two herself.
she wore a mask, people were pissed, she compared it to other masked djs, who are mostly male and no one cares. and then everyone was pissed there was no video but only like tycho and arca had visuals on that stage, and neither was of the acts themselves. also people didn't like the set, but I think it was like her 5th time or something and that was a big part of her letter, letting artists take risk blah blah.
I had fun! the vr thing was way sicker (and it was by appointment and eventbrite crashed because of demand)

It wasn't about her wearing a mask. I literally could not see that she was onstage because she was hidden by set-dressing. I wasn't the only one.
... Some media could not get their head around that i was not 'performing' and 'hiding' behind desks . and my male counterparts not . and i think this is sexism . which at the end of this tumultuous year is something im not going to let slide : because we all deserve maximum changes in this revolutionary energy we are currently in the midst of.
