I think from potent's perspective, it's obviously in his advantage to not want to comment heavily on the people he hasn't named. He doesn't want to alienate anyone to his reveal

Usually I have a pretty strong read one way or another on an Inspector reveal: to believe or not to believe. But I'm reallllly not sure here :/ There are things that make sense on both sides of the two potential narratives and things that don't

I’m probably dead soon as one of the few unconfirmed roles, but I’ll give a read through tomorrow and see how we’re getting played.
One thing that I think is bizarre is all the vote switching for both my runoffs. I know I’m town and I was in a runoff twice with town. You’d think mafia would be hanging back - no need for vote switching unless it made “sense” to appear as town.
My guess is the late vote switching that appeared herky jerky to me was probably town. (Haven’t read yet some im curious if those folks end up being already confirm town). Until tomorrow

Wait nvm you already explained this. I was doing a reread and didn't get through the whole thread when I had posted this. Didn't realize you already went over it.
potentpotables if I was your N1 guess and you knew I was town, why did you call out and bring attention to my error regarding Maddog's post? It brought heat on me unnecessarily, and you very easily could have just pointed out the error to help a fellow townie instead of asking me to explain it.
Which means that as inspector you drew attention and voted for someone you knew was a townie, voted along with your given name on the off-chance he was voting for his teammate instead of a townie (me) or BKB...and this ended up being the killshot since you said you wanted to generate discussion so you could move your vote, except then you never checked in or moved your vote.
I am asking for an extension until like 10pm est tonight. That way I can move my vote and we can discuss some and other people can have a chance to reconsider. This also won't eliminate the option of Jaz.

ive also had a town read on potent due to one post ill try to go find real quick. But yeah my statement is basically bulletproof. If you guys overthink and kill inspector ill give you shit forever. If I make the wrong decision here and lose when we have a dead inspector anyways... whatever who cares. The fake was unnecessary at that point anyways as they were going to win regardless.

To answer Jaz - again, I wanted to see if anyone would latch onto it. Knowing your role, I knew it was an honest mistake, but the fact that you used it to vote for my given name was interesting, so I thought you could have set a trap (unknowingly) that I was sort of encouraging. I think it also helped me to lay low and make it to D3. Obviously mafia had no idea I was inspector.
As far as my move at the end of D2, again I was trying to ferret out information. This has been a frustrating game to me because it's my 4th game as inspector, and now 3 of the 4 times I've gotten virtually no help from town in getting people to talk and put stuff out there, so I have barely any information on which to base a guess.
I think I answered all of Rummy 500's points as well, though I'm sure not to her satisfaction. It's weird that both of you can't believe I would vote alongside my given - I'm pretty sure I've done that every time I've been inspector because I think it helps me hide.
The intense flurry of movement on/off Theo was....of interest, though right now I can't say whether I think it was mostly townsfolk just shifting around to see how others reacted or if there's some Maf-ing in that movement.
BKB and MD are on each other, neither on Theo. I'm not rly sure which way to go here. I guess the only thing interaction wise that sticks out to me at all in my reread is this comment from BKB:

I dont think MD was inspector due to this post whack post. I hate to use this, but if he was actually inspector and he posted this saying that it was “brutal” that he was whacked as inspector, it would be a little outside of the comfort zone for what should be allowed. Instead, I think he was vanilla and never thought about this at all.

Jortles posts furthering my suspicions of him being mafia. None of his posts are reading to me as the jortles who would do anything to win as a townie.
I will also point out, at this stage of the game all mafia needs is one townie to agree with the reveal to win so we need to get this right, and vote out potent. This is just so fucked up and wish I wasn’t the one named.
Bkb, I know you said you need a reread but I recommend looking at portents with a heavy eye. All of his “analysis” hinges on pushing a 2-1 split narrative out of thin air and then votes with me his “given”. I don’t know how you can buy he was trying to induce a switch when he had the final vote. And if no one switched, why didn’t he?

It definitely isn't that as a stand alone fact--if it was just that by itself, then I don't think Jaz and I would find it odd/sketch. It is that you voted alongside your given and then, to quote Jaz, "[asked] for a five-hour extension so people could consider voting for your only known townie," and why "would [that] be preferable to having time, a safe townie, and the Inspector with the deciding vote?"
I was considering switching back onto Jaz during that time period but thought I'd moved around enough at that point so stayed on BKB because was worried by then it was a "three townies runoff" anyway (which I do imagine was true, although BKB is a slight question mark at this point I guess). So let's say I did. Would you have let it proceed to the end result of Jaz being voted off or would you have switched off him to save him? If you did that, wouldn't it put you more plainly in the spotlight as someone for Maf to whack as suspected Inspector?
