the tranter whack actually points pretty nicely to kpo imo. And I don’t particularly like your relationship with KPO in this game either. Its almost like your frustration with him as a mafia teammate has leaked a bit into the thread.
Jaz in the scenario that Potent is lying/Dan is actually town, who do you think is with Potent? I feel like Jostles would have to be a teammate given his posts since the reveal, but who as the third?

To answer Jaz - again, I wanted to see if anyone would latch onto it. Knowing your role, I knew it was an honest mistake, but the fact that you used it to vote for my given name was interesting, so I thought you could have set a trap (unknowingly) that I was sort of encouraging. I think it also helped me to lay low and make it to D3. Obviously mafia had no idea I was inspector.
As far as my move at the end of D2, again I was trying to ferret out information. This has been a frustrating game to me because it's my 4th game as inspector, and now 3 of the 4 times I've gotten virtually no help from town in getting people to talk and put stuff out there, so I have barely any information on which to base a guess.
I think I answered all of Rummy 500 's points as well, though I'm sure not to her satisfaction. It's weird that both of you can't believe I would vote alongside my given - I'm pretty sure I've done that every time I've been inspector because I think it helps me hide.
It definitely isn't that as a stand alone fact--if it was just that by itself, then I don't think Jaz and I would find it odd/sketch. It is that you voted alongside your given and then, to quote Jaz, "[asked] for a five-hour extension so people could consider voting for your only known townie," and why "would [that] be preferable to having time, a safe townie, and the Inspector with the deciding vote?"
I was considering switching back onto Jaz during that time period but thought I'd moved around enough at that point so stayed on BKB because was worried by then it was a "three townies runoff" anyway (which I do imagine was true, although BKB is a slight question mark at this point I guess). So let's say I did. Would you have let it proceed to the end result of Jaz being voted off or would you have switched off him to save him? If you did that, wouldn't it put you more plainly in the spotlight as someone for Maf to whack as suspected Inspector?
I asked for the extension because I was switching my vote so close to the deadline - I just thought that was the right thing to do. I guess people are saying I should have stayed on Jaz and waited until the next round? This game is dragging so much, I chose not to do that.
I wanted to leave open the possibility of the Jaz trap, and if you would have fallen for it I absolutely would have suspected you. I was contemplating coming out at that point, and had you kept Jaz in it in a meaningful way I probably would have revealed.

We have the votes right now. If it gets serious that I'm going to be exiled, I'll probably lose my shit. But Rummy is always suspicious of me, no matter what, and Dan is too, plus he's mafia and I named him. I can't quite figure out why Jaz is so skeptical, but I'll worry about that later.
On top of the new puppy, who needs to be woken up like every two hours at night, I turned 40 this week and my family is here to celebrate and it's all frankly exhausting. I'm feeling my age.
I feel like the details are out there and have been said. Looking at the raw facts I think it’s clear to see that potent is lying. In my opinion it’s likely tranter was inspector whacked because of the jortles connection.
Potent bringing up age, puppy whatever I think is a huge cop out. Not denying his old age, but every time potent has been inspector he has given it his all and it’s clearly missing here. I AM TOWN. I want to win this so bad, mafia thought I was an easy target and I’m kinda pissed about it. We will win this game, truth is on our side.

I think one of my biggest issues in believing this is that since we KNOW that currently all three Maf are alive, I feel like a Maf Dan wouldn't be fighting this so hard. You only have revealed with his name as your given and Jaz as confirmed town...wouldn't it behoove his team overall to not fight this and get really defensive, and then when his role is revealed as Maf (assuming he is the exile), the other two teammates would be well covered and likely could win D4?

Yeah I’m increasing thinking potent, jostles, KPO. I read jortles attempt to tie me to KPO as being really weird, and maybe a distancing attempt since the fake reveal isn’t going as planned.

OK, so to self advocate just a little bit here...if vanilla town (as I am) at this juncture in the game, it is FAIR to feel skeptical and not be sure of which way to go/vote here. There are weird points to both sides of the story, and I'd argue that if you aren't questioning the reveal even a little bit, then that's problematic if you're town.
I don't love this tone from either Jostles or Potent of like, "if you choose wrong here, it is the worst move of ever and we will never forgive you." If town and inspector, is that really the approach to take when trying to get fellow townies on your side?
