That’s my whole point. We need to exile potent to guarantee we at least get to day 4.
Ok well this sentance doesn't work then: if we don’t exile him to prove his role im very worried about the possible quacker. that will happen day 4 and 5.

The clarity comes when I am the whack tonight, if you don't do mafia's job for them.
And yes, I understand that it's exasperating when you are a town and trying to figure out the truth. I just can't figure out what advantage you guys think I'd gain by faking at this point in the game. But, that's why this game is so difficult and frustrating.
Can someone give me a summary why we think Potent is faking?

I will be very disappointed in myself if I'm wrong on this, but I also will give Major Props to Dan for his v convincing performance if he turns out to be Maf.
I just checked back at the time stamps from the reveal, and it was literally like 1:16pm reveal and by 1:20 Dan was going apeshit and saying "nope 100% lying, potent is mafia," etc etc. If he's Maf, his team was poised well at that point to do just fine without him (as in, if he got exiled here and then still had his two teammates left in the game), especially as we've already discussed how it is pretty unclear who is with Dan if he's Maf. He seemed to have a gut driven passionate reaction, and immediate too, and sure maaaaybe he'd gone for it in the moment and then later told his group chat "OK I'm committing to this, just distance from me," but if he did, again--great performance. And also would be good on him for working on that tell bc he didn't have it this game

So why does this implicate potent?
if Dan is town, then Potent is lying in effect. I mean MAAAAYBE they're both Maf which would be genuinely wild but chances are, if Potent is Maf, Dan isn't

This game could legit go down in inforoo mafia history, which is kind of cool, but for the wrong reasons for me. I've played or reffed most games since Mafia 75ish, and I've never seen an inspector reveal without a counter and people this strenuously not believe it (not to mention considering exiling the revealed inspector). Maybe that's one of the reasons I don't come across as that upset to Jortles - I'm legit fascinated. This is one for the books, whatever happens.

It appears that he feels bad for dan or something and is backing down. Maybe they discussed in a PM or something but that all lends to Potent being mafia and dan really feeling the way he said he was.
Can someone else jump in here and tel me how you would have reacted to Dans blow up if you were actually inspector and knew dan was lying?

Yes. At work right now so Im not able to read the thread. We got a tally? If there was a vote switch in the last hour auto extension for a couple of hours.
All these switches will be very interesting to look at if we actually vote out potent and get to day 4. I feel like the arguments for both sides have been laid out for at least 2 days so it’s weird to see all these last minute switches. At least I got the mafia sweating. to quote the wolf of Wall Street, IM NOT FUCKING LEAVING

If potent is lying im pretty sure its Potent / Jaz / BKB. Jaz going null would look terrible for him.
Hmmm well jortles is voting for me again so I’m sticking with that read. I just want potent gone that guarantees us a day 4 and I’m confident there’s enough info for us to get mafia once potent is confirmed for everyone.
