I can’t believe this was even a debate. I’m embarrassed for anyone town that was seriously considering voting off Potent.
Dan might've lied plenty in the past couple days as he faked innocence but he did bring up some things that are factually correct: Mafia teams in the past HAVE pulled the stunt it looked like Potent might be, just to see if they could & oh what fun it was to then shove that D3 win in town's face when they DID pull it off. Calling anything "out of the question" in mafia games is short sighted and while, yes, you were correct this time around, it isn't always going to be the more "normative" path to take that's the right one

This was one post from Tranter on Day 2 that made me think Mafia could have been spooked about T having KPO's name. He then went on to vote Dan a page later.

If anything I would Imagine that this should raise your suspicion of KPO unless you think me AND BKB stayed on Dan instead of ending the game.

as for the second sentence there...no, i don't think that's likely. but in contrast to BKB, i like to consider unlikely possibilities rather than entirely dismissing them--sometimes i end up in the wrong place, other times i end up being right. but i don't like dismissing uncommon potential tactics in this game as Impossible

I think I considered the possibility that Potent was faking and explained thoroughly my reasoning why it was highly unlikely.
1) it is definitely possible BKB and Jostles are our remaining two, so they're obviously wanting to spin things on you and me since we all know now Jaz is town
2) but as for it possibly being you, that quote from above ^^ that Jostles shared, it could've been T dropping a hint at you being his given by making a little quippy "joke" or it could've been Dan as his given and that was just a coincidence that he joked about you whacking MD, but either way, it could look bad on you now

I’m starting to get the weird conspiracy feels that Potent and Dan are both mafia and wanted to create this shit show because they are both into doing stupid shit like this. Nonetheless, I feel like I have to follow Potent as 99 times of 100 he’s the inspector in this situation with his given name being confirmed mafia.
The only thing that is super bizarre is mafia letting him live when the role reveal rule exists. I could see mafia letting the inspector live if we CANT confirm whether the given is legit, but here it’s almost so dumb to let potent live that I have to think Potent might be suspect. Ugh.
