I think it's odd that a couple people's reaction is that Maddog was whacked for his tone/style this game instead of anything he said. Gonna go for Dan for now. I feel like Maddog could have been trying to advise Silver/us not to discount the idea of Danbob being Mafia because of how quickly Dan voted.
Jaz > Danbob
can you expand on why the tone read is odd to you? Is it because you feel like maddog was sounding normal?
I like that call observation about dan.
I was unclear - I meant that instead of looking at the things Maddog could have said to have him whacked (which could lead us towards Mafia), there are people (you and Rummy) who instead think Maddog was whacked for his tone, which doesn't actually add anything or point us in any direction.

Jaz > Danbob
Can you point to that comment from Maddog?
Yeah, Silver pointed out the error but I was looking through Jortles' post containing all of Maddog's posts and looking for ones that could be the potential reason he was whacked.
Still going to stick with Danbob for the time being, mostly to see where other votes fall. I think this is where we're at rn:
BKB - 2 Silver - 2 Jaz - 1 Danbob - 1
Rummy > Jaz Jaz > Danbob Dan > Silver Silver > BKB KPO > BKB BKB > Silver
What I find to be a reach is Jaz claiming that Jostles and I are solely relying on a theory about it being MD's tone that got him whacked...Jostles posted the entirety of MD's post quotes and spoke to some of them. I have also been clear that it is just a *possibility* that Maf didn't have a strong lean on potential Inspector by way of any hints that were dropped so instead went for someone who seemed a little off this game thus maybe had a role. I can remember two games in the past year where i was Maf and my team & I decided to go for our Night One whack based on an observation like that. It isn't some crazy theory.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Finding him sketch for same reason as me, or something different?
Mostly because he voted based on, to be charitable, an incorrect reading of the game. That's the definition of spin. Certainly agree with your words but it's secondary in my thinking.

It was an observation; it's not that serious. I think it's important to look at who the whack points to based on what the whacked person actually said. But at this point you've already put more thought into defending it then I did in making it in the first place. Not sure why you're making it out to be like I'm saying more than I am.
Theo > Tranter Potent > Theo Jaz > Maddog Tranter > Silver Dan > BKB Silver > Maddog Jortles > KPO KPO > Jortles Rummy > Silver BKB > Rummy Theo > Tranter > KPO Maddog > BKB Dan > BKB > Rummy Jortles > KPO > BKB Dan > BKB > Rummy > Theo
Round Two BKB - 3 (Maddog, KPO, Theo) Maddog - 3 (Jaz, Silver, BKB) Theo - 3 (Jortles, Dan, Potent) Silver - 2 (Rummy, Tranter)
BKB > Maddog KPO > BKB Theo > Silver Dan > Theo > BKB Tranter > MD Tranter > MD > Silver Potent > Theo > Silver Theo > Silver > Theo Jortles > BKB > Theo Dan> BKB > Theo Theo > Theo > BKB
Round Three BKB - 4 (KPO, Theo, Rummy, Jaz) Theo - 4 (Jortles, Potent, King T, Maddog) Maddog - 3 (Silver, BKB, Dan)
King T > Theo Rummy > BKB Dan > Theo > Maddog Jaz > Maddog > BKB Maddog > BKB > theo
Round Four Theo - 6 (Jortles, Potent, King T, Maddog, BKB, Rummy) BKB - 5 (KPO, Theo, Silver, Jaz, Dan)
Dan > BKB BKB > Theo Silver > Theo Rummy > BKB > Theo
My ideal runoff would be 3 of Tranter / BKB / Silver / Jaz.
Why T? I don't think the whack points to him.
It doesn't point to him. Whack points to Silver in my opinion. I'll likely make sure he stays in. Going to try to hold on my reasons for Tranter and BKB until post reveal if possible.

Theo - 6 (Jortles, Potent, King T, Maddog, BKB, Rummy) BKB - 5 (KPO, Theo, Silver, Jaz, Dan)
All we know currently are two townies. Obviously the caveat that always applies, I have counted myself as a townie, feel free to count yourself as well. I would guess that the mafia there was a pretty good chance that Maddog, as inspector, was voting against his given name. I am considering the possibility that two mafia were on BKB, mostly because the BKB voter side was the majority until the Rummy switch. If we are looking for the 2-1 split, it usually is on the bigger side, but Rummy's switch means it's entirely possible that two mafia were on the losing side of the D1 final vote. This is a reason I am on Jaz, and think that KPO/Silver/Dan deserve some scrutiny too.
Cookin' Mama just a heads up that the final D1 tally lists Rummy twice and doesn't list Silver. I think the tally misses Silver's vote for BKB to open the last round.
Theo - 6 (Jortles, Potent, King T, Maddog, BKB, Rummy) BKB - 5 (KPO, Theo, Silver, Jaz, Dan)

Knowing that Theo was town and there's a potential for BKB to be Mafia, wouldn't it stand to reason that we're more likely to find Mafia on the known Townie? Agree that there's probably at least one who was on BKB - and I understand your point about Rummy's vote switch - but regardless I don't see why you're leaning towards there possibly being a higher concentration of Mafia on BKB than Theo, especially considering that Rummy moved her vote to a townie. Do you have a strong town read on her?

Partially, I am playing the odds that we had a townie vs. townie in the D1 final runoff. If that's the case, I don't think BKB and Rummy deserve joint scrutiny. I also think that move from Rummy (after what I recall as some courting from BKB) is too on the nose for mafia teammates. Either one of them could be, I'm just leaning away from that at the beginning of D2. I wouldn't have said I have a town read on Rummy, but that has to do more with my confidence in the read than the read itself. I lean town on Rummy, but not enough to proclaim it on my own (only with your invitation). I don't know if that makes as much sense to anyone reading as it does to me, so I can clarify any confusion.
The point of my post was that, if you look at D1 splits, it's likely that people would assume to look at Theo voters, and I was addressing my thought that it's just as likely that two mafia were on BKB because of the Rummy switch. You'd have to buy that at least one of BKB and Rummy is town, if not both. I lean town on both; I understand people may disagree.

We both find the other's reasoning here in D2 sorta weak--NBD, it is what it is. I won't belabor the point any longer tho

Lol ok yes, this bolded part confuses me--can you clarify? has more to do with confidence in the read than in the read itself??

What I was trying to say - I wouldn't be confident enough to proclaim a town read on Rummy (you) as my own thought, but in answer to a question I can say I have a slight town read on Rummy (you).
Theo - 6 (Jortles, Potent, King T, Maddog, BKB, Rummy) BKB - 5 (KPO, Theo, Silver, Jaz, Dan)

You guys tell me, but assuming both me and Theo were town (I know we were both town, but I know most of you don’t verifiably know that yet), who do you think Mafia would be trying to vote off in round 1 among two townies, me or Theo?
Personally, and no offense to Theo, I’m not surprised I got stacked up so high in Round 1 based on some nonsense. So I agree that probably 2 mafia were on me before Rummy vote switch rather than just 1.
With respect to MD, I think it’s obvious that Silver needs to be in runoff and sure me as well since MD had an initial vote on me. But MD calling out silver’s vote for me as “weird” is all we’ve got among the tea leaves for who among me and silver should be more sus. I tend to play a more linear style in this game, and that’s my pretty linear take on things.
It doesn't point to him. Whack points to Silver in my opinion. I'll likely make sure he stays in. Going to try to hold on my reasons for Tranter and BKB until post reveal if possible.
obviously I’m curious but if you’re trying to get one of us exiled, wouldn’t it make sense to make your case now so people support it? Don’t know if anyone’s gonna blindly follow you in the hopes that you have a reason.

I think it could help Mafia more than it would likely help town if I explained what I was thinking here so I'll hold it in.

I have no reason to keep my vote on Dan since my initial reason for voting for him was in error, and I'm getting townie vibes from him otherwise. I think the whack points to Silver more than BKB.
