I know pretty much nothing about him. Don't even know if I've ever paid attention to him being interviewed.
That said, he's probably been given most everything that he's wanted since becoming a successful QB. With a culture as notoriously awful as the Texans are reputed to have, where the owner referred to the players as inmates, I don't know that these allegations are that surprising.

The connection between Deshaun's actions here and the Texans' shitty owner and management seems a bit tenuous to me. Maybe there's more to it than I've seen.

dabo is the new urban
Definitely not. Clemson has had a few problem guys, but their problems usually happen after they leave Clemson. Deshaun is well liked by anyone that ever met him. This is all just shocking to me. I don’t know what to believe. That’s why I haven’t said anything. It just seems like it can’t be real.

Maybe the organizational culture doesn't play a role in player behavior. Maybe it does. I honestly don't know. But I lean towards yes.

Yeah don't really see how Bob McNair being a racist, the weird Patriots preacher guy doing a coup, or the dysfunctional coaching search that led to Watson demanding a trade would be contributing factors to him being a sex offender, but I do suppose anything is possible.
our team historically goes out of there way to pick up "character guys" which is a mcnair thing, so heavy quotations. lots of that contributed to hopkins exit, getting tunsil felt like a shock considering the draft photos. which is why I kind of could see it being something they knew about and kept hushed.

And yeah possible they knew about it, but seems like they would have traded him by now if they did, because they could have for the discount they'd probably be willing to give.
I still think it’s more likely that all of this is coming out because he wanted a trade.
Whose motivation is that?
Because if they were willing to have kept this quiet ( if its true) and give him the huge extension, then its just the team showing its teeth and telling him to shut up and play.
Edit: do all of these so far happen within the last year? Its not something that stretches a number of years, correct?

idk I think one of the first few had an incident from '18

One is alleged to have happened after he was contacted about the first accuser. I'm not sure how far they go back.

Ok. Cause i have only seen a couple of these show that they happened last year and so far there doesnt seem to be anything with a timeline of these incidents yet.
Edit: and one of the incidents is as recent as January this year.
Watson's lawyer responded that they believe one of the women is someone who previously tried to extort him. which i hope its not a case of he's guilty of a couple but something like that means no one gets justice if that person ends up being a fraud.
It's kinda wild that his attorney would voluntarily admit that he had sex with a woman who he was paying for a massage.
I think it says something that they’re not backing down at all from his innocence. He could just settle even if he didn’t do anything wrong. They’re totally denying the claims.
