biggest rumors felt to be coming from 49ers, dolphins, panters, seems like everyone moved on.
he's going to get hit, probably suspension idk if he'll face criminal charges (if they don't turn anything into the police or whatever), and then the patriots will get him for a 6th or something.
Amazing to see teams just crawl over hot coals to get a qb in this draft. Kyle Pitts is now going to drop just cause of that
Yeah, a lot of good players are going to slide because of the QB rush
Almost makes me want to see the Pats stay at 15, since all the good QBs will be gone or way out of price range. Get a top 10 player at 15.
Im expecting NE to move up even though its not in the Belichick nature. They def wouldve sat at say, 11 if that was the case for them. I just wish these deals happened during the draft and not so far out cause everyone would be losing their minds. The trade drama is pure gold during the broadcast

To get from 15 to 4 they're looking at roughly all of their picks from this year plus something early on day three next year, just going by trade value charts. Obviously, that's a pretty linear way to go and there are a multitude of other ways to go. And that's before factoring in that they might be competing with others with a better round one option. Anything is doable but it's a biiiig lift.
(I used the Walter Football chart since I generally trust his work. But obviously there are others and teams have their own internal one, too.)

It could also be smoke from Atlanta just to get somebody to overpay or think that the player they want is gonna go that high. They wanna be on the other side of the Julio jones trade and reap the rewards of somebody mortgaging their draft capitol for one piece.

Trading down is how you win at the NFL draft. If they're sticking with Matt Ryan then they should absolutely try and get a haul for that pick.

He still has that bloated contract so they have no choice. They should just get Pitts. Its like when Ryan was drafted and he had Tony Gonzalez who was still producing at the end of his career and was a safety net for a young qb. If he had a potential cheat code TE it would make a huge difference.

Trading up to 4 is tough but I saw a mock recently that had the Pats trading with the Cowboys at 10 to go draft Mac Jones. I don't think it was suggested what they might need to give up for that.

Yeah, Pro Football Focus had it this morning with that scenario. They never discuss compensation, just that it happens in their mock.
This CBS one is pretty good, no trades other than whats been done so far.
Picks 1-3 should be QB. Picks 5-8 (Bengals, Dolphins, Lions, Panthers) should all be non-QBs barring trades. So if Atlanta at 4 wants a QB, they won’t trade with Denver. If Atlanta doesn’t pick a QB at 4, there’s no reason to trade up because there’s a solid chance 2 of Fields, Lance, Jones will be available since 4-8 would all be non-QB.
Plus Denver has largely indicated it prefers to run it back with Lock or replace him with a high level veteran (which isn’t going to happen).
There’s a greater chance Denver trades back than trades up and continues to add resources around Lock (and future picks) for new GM Paton to use to chase a veteran like Watson, Wilson, Rodgers next year when Lock fails and Fangio gets fired.
I mean, once the discussion moves to NFL players talking about how unusual it is for a player to seek massage therapists outside of the team's network, especial to use 40+ different ones I think you've lost the PR war. The fact that lawyer is seeking compensation for his clients is pretty much assumed.
I can't speak to the strategy, but it's a civil lawsuit. There's going to be a monetary goal one way or another.
Theres going to be criminal on it too. Just saying. If these lawyers had it their way this would just be another episode of Hot Bench and theyll sell the commercial spots.

How many NFL teams have a fan on the board? Could be fun to have a mock draft where the fan drafts for the team, like Jortles for Jax, Kanye for Atlanta New England, etc. Then we could compare to the actual draft. I doubt all 32 teams would be represented but we could probably get close. It might take a few days to sort out who has what team, but the actual mock should only take a day or two.
