All of those sound like Any Given Sunday or arena football teams to me except for maybe Red Tails.
Red Tails has historical significance and would be what Snyder does to try and fix the franchise image. Redwolves also has a history iirc. I think Aces is probably a variant on Red Tails so they can stick with the airplane theme. Armada was in consideration for their original XFL franchise. Defenders was the XFL name they chose. And Renegades was the name they took when Washington moved to Florida when the USFL was still around in the 80’s.
Not sure where else to ask, but does anyone subscribe to the Athletic? Seems like a pretty good site that's worth the sub.
I used to but they shaved a lot of staff after the pandemic hit (especially for hockey), so I unsubbed. It’s definitely worth it if they return to form.
