fwiw, on the Sunday ticket / redzone talk, if you say you're a student, they'll discount you without checking. I didn't enter an edu email or anything.
Broncos starting right tackle blew out his Achilles. First time I’ve ever been extremely happy to see an injury on my team. We signed him in 2019 FA to a 4 year 50M contract. In his first season, he played 63 snaps (the scoop in Denver was he was cleared to play but claimed he was injured for like half the season. Last offseason he opted out for COVID. That pushed his 2nd contract year and last with major required money to the 2021 season meaning we couldn’t cut his ass and were stuck with him in the roster
Until yesterday. Injury happened away from the Denver facilities so sounds like it will be a NFI and we won’t have to pay him 10M. This was literally the only way we were getting out of this deal. Good riddance.
Addition by subtraction and more salary cap.
I thought it just pushed his contact down the road another season?

His 2020 year contract became his 2021 year contract, which the Broncos can now void most of because it was a non-football injury. I even read they can claw back some of his other bonuses, potentially up to 13M in now free salary cap. He was hated by Broncos fans and even his teammates have made it clear they haven’t been happy with him. This a quote from our starting LT Garett Bolles from this offseason:
“I’ve talked to him now and then. He knows what he has to do to get back into the room, and he knows what he has to do to earn our trust back”.
but I think sort of tying into what Jortles said about rebbuilding culture from the ashes...
he's like peak what a coach wants out of a player, he's got Urban's culture down, if he makes the roster, he's just going to probably just help set the pace.
idk how valuable that ends up being, or if hes just unrosterable and urban is whiffing hard, but I get the idea I think

If there is hard knocks with the Jags he makes it through til the final cut and thats it. Theyll sell some jerseys and get some extra press. Like Urban feels he needs a bridge between himself and the team so bringing in a former player that has zero clue how much has changed in the NFL since theyve been gone is the answer? If Tebow had barely been gone a couple years I could see that, but this is just a big stretch and youre not winning a locker room over by potentially getting a roster spot just because the coach won a national title due to your play almost 15 years ago. You want a culture change and somebody that will bring respect to the locker room then sign Larry Fitzgerald.

but Larry doesn't know his system
again I don't think it's a phenomenal idea or anything, but I get it.

Aaron Hernandez probably wouldve been taken out of prison if he was still alive with Urban needing a tight end that fit his system. Cause thats the poster child of what he does anyway, which is win at any cost and who gives a shit if the roster has rapists and murderers on it.
lol You know Jameis wants a piece of that Tampa ass. But I don't know if we're good enough to be much more than a contender unless he can ball. I want to say the Saints o/u for wins is like 9.5. That's not a bet I'd make l. Current O/U from Oddsshark are:
