So for the last twenty-five seasons one of the teams in the conference finals failed to qualify for the playoffs the following year. Anybody want to make a prediction for who it might be this season?
I think that it's going to be one of the NFC teams. Either Rodgers has another fight with the Packers mid-season or, more likely, Tom Brady's body remembers that he's the oldest non-kicker to open a season as a starter. His 2020 season was significantly better than his 2019 but I keep hearing that QBs do better in their second year in Arians' systems so maybe that washes. I'll vote Tampa but I feel like all four seem like they'll be back in the playoffs come January.
I hope its GB.
The Vikings need a strong playoff run this year. I hope the O line holds up and Cousins does something worthwhile.

I'd look at the two teams that had the best injury luck out of that group - TB and Buffalo. (Tampa Bay in particular was incredibly injury-free last year, with only 25.6 adjusted games lost, 16 fewer than second place Atlanta.) Of those two, I'd be more worried about Buffalo, who seem incredibly thin at skill positions. Like TB has a ridiculous stable of receivers, where if Evans goes down they still have Godwin, Brown, etc., whereas if Buffalo loses Diggs, they'd be SOL. I'd also be concerned about world-class chowderhead Cole Beasley spreading covid to his teammates (including unvaxxed Josh Allen), plus general concerns about some regression to the mean for Allen.
I don't argue about the Bills having been incredibly healthy under McDermott but I dispute your contention that the Bills are thin at the skills positions. My reasons are spoilered below because after going through it all I realized that I'm probably the only one that cares. LOL
Anyways, all four teams are going to be a lot less potent with out their QB1. I'd argue that the Bills are in the best shape at QB2 but I get that others would scoff at that assertion. (And we don't know that Allen isn't vaccinated. The only time I've heard him address it was back in the Spring when the vaccine rollout was still relatively new and he said that he wanted to learn more. I suspect that he's not but he might just be trying not to alienate Beasley. He wasn't wearing a mask on the sideline during the preseason, though. So who knows.)
WR: Diggs lead the league last year and played through the postseason with a torn oblique Beasely was just short of 1K from the slot despite playing on a broken leg. (But yeah, he's an anti-vaxx dumbass who is certainly playing with fire) They replaced John Brown who was only good for twenty-four games last two seasons with Emmanuel Sanders who was good for thirty-one. Gabriel Davis played in every game last season with 600 yards and seven TDs as a rookie Isaiah McKenzie is back after playing 31 games the last two years. They've also added Aaron Rodgers' favorite target, Jake Kumerow, to the active roster and rookie Marquez Stevenson and have two more WR on the practice squad.
QB: Mitch Trubiski looked like a capable back up to Allen if he needs to step in for a game or two. They've also got two more on the practice squad.
DE: They have two long-term vets (Jerry Hughes - who has missed something like one game in the last six or seven years - and Mario Addison) in a rotation with 2020 2nd rounder AJ Epenesa and 2021 1st & 2nd rounders Rousseau and Basham. (They also have Caronlina's Efe Obada in the rotation.)
DB's: They are thin at CB behind Tre White for sure. Levi Wallace is fine and has held off everyone that they've brought in to compete with him for the last three seasons. Dane Jackson is a promising 2nd year player and Taron Johnson has come up big in the slot. They are solid at safety. Hyde and Poyer have missed a combined three games since joining the Bills in 2017 and at least one of those were resting for the playoffs. Their back ups are young but talented.
Not a bad game at all overall. Too many vs return yards, a mostly ineffective running attack*, missed FG’s and the missed XP. Otherwise y’all went toe to toe with what I think is at least a somewhat better team. Cowboys looked more like they should have the last few seasons.

We all knew what was gonna happen when the Cowboys kicked a field goal with over a minute to go and Brady strapped on his helmet. Really exciting game though and Dallas looked good! Mad at Zeke who got me less points then Ryan Succop got my gf (this week's opponent) in fantasy. I came this close to benching him because of Tampa's D-Line but I'd rather my first round pick get no points starting than a boatload of points on my bench.

*seemed like they ran it less than 20x.
They didn't run at all, which I'm fine with. Such a fearsome run D and we were down a starting OL. It came down to our kicker missing out on four (maybe seven lol) points. Overall, a pretty encouraging game against the champs, but we have to take advantage of turnovers like we got.
Defense at least looks serviceable. Dak looked healthy. Took some hits.
