Theres also a weird post from KPO where he asks how possible it is to be mafia two games in a row. Think its possible that KPO is mafia again and that's why hes asking. Cause at that point- Rummy and Jaz were in the runoff and neither were maf last game so idk who else hed be talking about

I knew that would come back to bite me lol I was sus of Dan and wanted to know how likely it was that he was maf

We can find something weird from everyone in a reread, including you.
FWIW, I went through a thought process on that KPO comment yesterday during my reread--at first it seemed like he was broaching it to hint towards the idea that it would be unlikely for him to be mafia twice in a row. But I think he was actually asking it re: Dan, though I'd like to hear from KPO himself on this
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

lol am glad we only have one Maf left in the game because if it was 2 left, I bet folks would start to worry about me/KPO being in CAHOOTS. I had not read his clarification posted one minute ago before submitting my post raising the exact same issue, lol--then once submitted, saw he'd already spoken directly to it

This is just an aside and has no bearing on anything, but I'm always surprised when people take previous games' performance into account for first-round votes. Maybe it's a courtesy thing and I'm just an asshole, but I never really think twice about who I vote for first round, aside from first-timers and maybe people who have been voted out D1 multiple times recently.
I'm not sure how this would make you an asshole, but I'm also not sure of what you mean or who you are subtweeting. Same goes for Dan808 assuming his follow up meant he was "retweeting"/agreeing with your post.
Like you aren't voting for Theo because of him just being the D1 kill. And someone (Jortles I think? I'm not checking) said something perhaps jokingly about getting votes even though he played well past game. I'm just saying that I don't care what happened in previous games; it doesn't factor into my first round vote at all.
I think there's too big of a split between players on "don't like over explaining" and "not enough explaining" on day 1. down the road, yeah you need to have umph.
(and I think the false reason thing is X did this so I'll vote for X, when Y actually did the thing or something)
I kinda wanted to but since I’m one of the two in question , thought it would be uncouth coming from me.
But Tranter’s move was weird, placing too runoff folks into the position of revoting when it was so easily avoided
I actually prefer this. Often times there'll be a run-off and people fall out of it and we end up having no real info on that person's voting record other than "I didn't want to get exiled so I voted for x". With three people left, there's some choice to it.
Basically, I thought it would be neat to see how two people in a run-off act. It might've given us some insight to something even if they end up falling out. Seems more traditional to have two-non run-off people do it and probably safer so I'm not pressed. I also didn't really think BKB belonged in the run-off.
Just want to explain why explanations can be stupid / pointless.
My explanation, as it usually is, is that I want to see how the crowds reacts to Potent being doubled up on. When something unexpected happens in Mafia, you can usually get less rehearsed reactions from people which can provide insight. Now of course, in this particular case, a double up has become a little stale because a few of us have kinda ran this tactic in the ground. But the general point stands.
Why on earth would I want Mafia to be on any sort of high alert about this sort of manipulation coming from a townie?
The best move here is actually for me to make up something about Potent that I'm suspicious of so the game can proceed as planned without anyone thinking before they respond to Potent being put in an exile position. On top of that, maybe I can be whacked as vanilla and have it point to mafia if Potent randomly was actually Mafia.
We had this conversation a while back about how lies can be useful as Townies. This is what my mindset is on that.
I'm now done talking about how "the game ought to be played." I 100% noted everyone who was getting into that conversation earlier as I think those general meta conversations couldn't be riper for mafia to participate in and pretend to appear helpful when really its all fluff, like this post.
Get your meta fluff in, Mafia scum!
Kanye and Dan were also fairly deep into those conversations too iirc lmao
