He has moved his vote around a ton, which I don’t find helpful at all as town. I can’t imagine he’s inspector making such erratic vote switches. If he’s mafia messing with us then he deserves the vote. And if he’s town just fucking around (also very possible), he still deserves the vote. Some of you guys might play this game for “fun,” but I play to win.

I had two vote switches - one when I was I switched my original vote from T to KPO because nobody else voted for T with me, and then I switched to KPO when the runoff was at 2 or 3 to make it a larger runoff. There's nothing erratic about that. I don't care if you're voting for me - it's whatever. I just think classifying my vote switches as "erratic" is a weird way to put it.

To be honest I just looked at the tally and saw you have the most vote switches according to the tally, and Jaz, even though he’s voting for me, isn’t mucking up the voting record like you are. You may have your “reasons” for the vote switches but I certainly can’t verify your true motives so all I see is a bunch of votes from you that probably aren’t necessary.

You see two vote switches. You can easily tell that the second one was necessary, due to the fact that we had a 2 or 3 person runoff with everybody else having their vote on a single person. It strikes me as an extremely rational thing to make sure the runoff is more than 2 or 3 people, and there were going to be people who did what I did. I just happened to be first. In addition, and I am going to go back to quote the count as best I can before I made the second switch, but I believe I was one of the 2 or 3 people slated for the runoff. It would have been more suspicious, at least to some, had I set it up to have a revote while not being in the runoff. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't type of thing, all because I placed my opening vote on someone nobody else wanted to vote for.

First up, the count that I am referening. Here, as you can see, we are at a two-way with you and me, and 7 votes that are single. There needed to be some movement.
I note in my vote switch that I was getting it to a 4 way. You were voting for Jaz. I voted with you, in part, to not give you a revote, since you were in the runoff. That left Silver as the only person in the runoff without a revote. I could have voted with him, for Rummy. I had no reason to vote for you over him.
Just to make sure we are on the same page, it's better for the town to have a larger runoff on D1. I won't get into the merits of 4 vs. 5, that's been hashed and rehashed, but certainly is better than 2 or 3 in the first runoff.

Do you guys actually not like the runoff when you say you don't like the runoff? Or are you guys just trying to create conversation. I don't know how so many of you guys have opinions on a day 1 runoff with no info.

Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Well actually don’t hate the one we have rn, but did not like the where the votes were at first.
i think the point Silver is trying to make (and i agree with) is, if you aren't Inspector or Mafia, then as vanilla town how do you think you Know So Much at the very beginning of the game like this?
i play on gut feelings a good amount, sure, but more so d2 onward... idk, there is just a weird feel around people claiming to know so much about whether a slew of votes are likable or not here at the very beginning

unless it something like, "i dont feel good about how ____ switched his vote randomly near the end of the round from _______ to __________, so i don't want to vote alongside them"--at least that would have an echo of reason to it

Yeah something like this. Feel like everyone just says "I don't like this" and then makes a switch without explaining why they don't like it.

Even "This is completely arbitrary, but I feel like the first runoff created is usually manipulated by mafia so I feel it is best to create movement so they can't control it too much."

Is there anything I need to explain about my vote switches to you, Silver Surfer? I've tried to explain already but can help clarify if something isn't clear.

I mean you guys did explain it after being asked. I just think this is an issue that pops up in all of our mafia games. I think we should explain our movement without being asked most of the time
I'd like to totally switch the runoff. Realize that A) this is unlikely, B) it will take more than me, C) it benefits me. Voting for KPO because he had no votes in the initial array, he's a quiet player, and I think it would be beneficial for the town to get him involved.
I think Rummy 500 and Jake Jortles should consider lowering their swords vs. each other for now and help me switch the runoff up.
Just for the record, and I'm not sure Silver Surfer that you were talking about me, but I explained both of my vote switches at the time, as seen above.

It wasn't ever intended to point fingers, more of a meta discussion
I'm generally weary of people in runoffs wanting to reshuffle the whole thing, but I'm fine on the general idea. idk, always weird when more than one person doesn't like the runoff to me as well.

I agree with Kanye, it drives me nuts when people don't explain their votes. It also drives me nuts when people make their votes for demonstrably false reasons.
