I agree with Kanye, it drives me nuts when people don't explain their votes. It also drives me nuts when people make their votes for demonstrably false reasons.
I think there's too big of a split between players on "don't like over explaining" and "not enough explaining" on day 1. down the road, yeah you need to have umph.
(and I think the false reason thing is X did this so I'll vote for X, when Y actually did the thing or something)
hi ummm boys, may i pls keep my new name?? forgot when i switched it about the whole "dont change your name during mafia" thing... if it is an issue, i'll switch it back but

How do you know if ones reasons are false?
Well, I know them when they are in relation to me, and Jimmy's reason for voting for me is bogus.
But also you know when someone gets a fact incorret. Jaz did this last game, and it's why I voted for him at the beginning of D2. He realized it later but it didn't impact his vote, which is fine, but we spend this whole game trying to catch mafia in lies. When someone gets a fact wrong and you are a townie, you have no idea if they are lying or just wrong. It makes it tougher for townies to find mafia.

I think BKB has acted about the same as he did last game where he was town. Granted, I don’t know what he’s like as mafia but I think he’s a really important town player if he is town and I don’t want him out this early.

Tranter > Rummy
(is that enough explanation?)
are you calling me an Unimportant Town Player?
no it’s just that I didn’t want to stack onto potent or Jaz and cause a bunch of movement. I’m also terrible at reading you lol. I think either way we’re risking losing good town players.

So we gonna talk about how now both revoters are in the runoff?
I kinda wanted to but since I’m one of the two in question , thought it would be uncouth coming from me.
But Tranter’s move was weird, placing too runoff folks into the position of revoting when it was so easily avoided
I actually prefer this. Often times there'll be a run-off and people fall out of it and we end up having no real info on that person's voting record other than "I didn't want to get exiled so I voted for x". With three people left, there's some choice to it.
At least we have a sensible runoff (people in a runoff, revoters not in runoff). But did it really require such a hideous voting record to accomplish this? I’m not just pointing my finger at Potent here - this round 1 is an absolute mess as a whole so far.

This doesn't make any sense to me.
Basically, I thought it would be neat to see how two people in a run-off act. It might've given us some insight to something even if they end up falling out. Seems more traditional to have two-non run-off people do it and probably safer so I'm not pressed. I also didn't really think BKB belonged in the run-off.

there is far less potential interesting voting movement when two runoff folks have revotes: one will vote for one of the two that isn't them, and then the next guy might only have the one option from there (bc they aren't gonna vote for themselves)

yeah, I would've moved if people wanted me to after, just wanted to try something different D1. I'll leave it to the pros now lol
