Liking two teams in the same college conference equal amounts is pretty weird.
Went to IU, family all likes Michigan and my uncle coached for their football team. My mom and dad went there and after my dad passed my brother and I would always watch the games together as a tradition to remember him before he passed too. Will admit it is odd though you're right
I blame FIFA 15 for yeeting my manager career to England via Brentford
They weren't even in the Championship then!
sounds like me with Wigan on fifa 13, however my dad had already turned me into a hardcore Atletico Madrid fan by then so no points there
FIFA 15 was honestly my real intro to club soccer. Before then I'd really only paid attention to international soccer.
Won 2 MLS Cups and was dead set on going to England. Brentford was the only club willing to take a flier, so I went there...and now they're my primary soccer team (largely bc I can't pick just one MLS team. I'm kinda split between SKC and LAFC)

I've been thinking about changing baseball allegiances. It's sort of sacrilege, of course, but if my team doesn't care about me, how long should I care about them before I'm an idiot? MLB is so screwed up right now that teams who aren't trying this year will make the expanded playoffs just because there aren't enough good teams. I've been a Bucs fan my entire life, the 2013 wild card game vs the Reds is probably one of my top 3 sports experiences, but...how long until I say enough?
I've always kind of liked the Mets and Dodgers, and both of them are now trying to win.
He's one of those you hate but can't imagine him not around to say something crazy in a press conference.. or to piss me off with something dumb he says
I casually watched soccer, but never followed anyone in particular. Never got into the Revs. (The Timbers looked interesting due to the left leaning fan base.) Never picked any big club in Europe.
I decided to jump in for Hartford - a 2019 expansion team, one level below MLS. Watch most games on ESPN+. I try and go to the Saturday home games - drive to Connecticut, hit up a couple bars beforehand and/or meet up with some friends in the area, then go to a game for $20.

I'm sorry you lost your pops and brother.
If I were you I would simply not like Indiana because they are terrible (I kid <3)

After the Crean years and IU sucking in their bowl this year it's hard to have hope lol. I've almost come to accept none of my teams will win a championship in my lifetime, at least the Colts won one when I was younger. Was too young to remember the Michigan one in 97
(don't really follow the Colts now, only enough to keep up with conversation when my friends talk about them. Also barely follow the Cubs, just enough to talk about them here in Chicago and because I like to go to games when the tickets are cheap since I'm so close.)
85 Chicago Bears (See what I did there) 10 Cubs 5 Bulls
But it’s been really hard to give fuck all about sports with all the craziness going on in our world. I turn it on and say to myself, “What’s the point?”

The hate on Duke is hilariously too high compared to other successful NCAA teams that have had just as much, if not more, success (UNC, Kentucky, Kansas, ect) with the fraction of the hate.
