I think having non participants vote on this first round is dicey. Idk just because all of us who DID play have put a lot of thought into how we ranked things and why for this initial round, and I feel like once it is next round where it is just “lineup v lineup” it makes more sense for non participants to vote since there is less time needed to balance out the process for voting fairly (as in, with taking everything in mind that we’ve laid out as relevant).

That’s good to know (I haven’t been tracking with the numbers/data at all), but in another group it could end up impacting a super close margin between two folks for 3rd, is all I’m saying

I disagree with this and find it very surprising someone saying something like this. I spend quite a lot of time for voting for drafts I don’t play. This shouldn’t make me or anybody else uneligible to vote.

I disagree with this and find it very surprising someone saying something like this. I spend quite a lot of time for voting for drafts I don’t play. This shouldn’t make me or anybody else uneligible to vote.
This one just seems to have more nuanced parameters in the weighting of votes than some other ones we've done before + the voting structure of ranking in groups is different from in the past where it is just like "vote for your faves to advance."
I am certainly not suggesting we throw anyone's votes out because they aren't qualified enough to vote or anything like that, it was just a thought I had over the past day or two. And again, not specifically out of personal concern for my own rankings, though i'm sure some still will read it that way unfortunately

Happy to give more detailed feedback if anyone's interested, I've been staring at these posters and clashfinders pretty steadily since ~the call out~ but didn't feel the need to write out 20 full justifications.
^^ and see, for example, knowing he checked out the clashfinders, not just the posters--i feel like that helps. as opposed to someone popping in and being like "oh well i like this HLer best" and voting only on that.
but it isn't a big deal, just was a thought i wanted to share.

this could come back to bite me with my #1 name but Julie I'm curious if the III Points team feels like they're above booking any of these big pop names we have on some of the lineups here? you dont have to say who
If Dua Lipa didn't put out a rad remix album featuring the likes of Blessed Madonna, Joe Goddard, Jayda G, Midland, Yaeji, etc, I probably wouldn't have drafted her. If it is an indication that she is moving away from mainstream pop and into more club oriented sounds then I'm here for it. Those remixes rip.
edit: TLDR - if she's not on their radar then she should be because of her potential crossover appeal (not sure if the post was even directed towards me btw!!)

I listen to the remix album more than original now and I still like the original a lot
