I'm bout to be unavailable for several hours in about an hour and a half so I'll give my picks to Dave Maynar if that's cool with him. What say you, Dave?
this is exactly how i viewed bon iver, as the bridge between ye and george.
The best lineups are cohesive like a web. Not exactly a “theme” but a general direction. Better than just drafting the most valuable act available.
I kind of respect this, even though I don't necessarily agree. I will say that a lot of lineups in this draft tend to blur together, because it's like oh this one has the beatles but this one has the stones but this one has zeppelin but this one has black sabbath, it's like everyone gets their turn at having a classic rock mainstay.
edit: which is why I respect the hell out of what Cash is doing this draft

you can send some to me. Doubt it will make it to your second pick and I’m after the first with no plans to trade up.

I think some voters will probably value genre cohesiveness more and others will value genre diversity higher. Which is fine! I dispute the notion that one of those approaches is "better" than the other
I don't think I ever have a really firm idea of that kind of festival I'm going to have until I'm about 7-10 artists deep in picking, and then the undercard can be molded appropriately.

I'm hoping to get to my next pick before I have to dip but then I'm sending a list of like ten things to Dave in case a lot of them get picked for the next round. If I have to leave before this coming pick, I'll hit you up. And thanks for the offer.
