will drive like 5 hours to get one but it's all about the connections here. Some of my friends have gotten it because they needed to get rid of them but I never hear about that
I got the Pfizer back in December/January. Definitely not for any other reasons other than my employer (a large healthcare organization) offered it to every employee straight out the gate so that we could be advocates for it. No side effects and still no Covid, but I'm also still very cautious and I wear my mask everywhere.
We've been volunteering at community vaccine events in town, though. It was a rewarding experience.
I mean, right now do you really want to be strolling around in public without a mask on even if you've had your vax? Aside from unknown health implications from transmission or variants, there's a good chance that people will assume that you're just an anti-vax jackass.
I just assume it's going to be a while before it's my turn. I say that's ok, other people need it more than me.
I think "a while" might be like 60-90 days. With the exception being poor/minority areas because of systematic racism, the vast majority of people who are high risk will have gotten at least one jab by the end of the month.

My Fauci ouchie was Pfizer brand. I'm kind of thankful because we've had a LOT of issues getting people their second moderna jab around here, and I didn't need that kind of stress in my life.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
I got the J&J yesterday, my arm is still a little sore, and I have some muscle tightness (that could be from exercise). That's it though. Feel pretty great.
