Hoping they grab Erika de Casier. Seems like a no-brainer stylistically, and I think she’s about to blow up on this album cycle. She has some fall Europe dates scheduled but nothing in the US right now.

The Hilton Garden Inn Palm Springs/Rancho Mirage now has refundable rooms for $135/night for the April 15 weekend. It's a nine-minute walk (two minute Uber) from the Omni Rancho shuttle stop. Including breakfast, my reservation was $445 total for three nights. Booked through Hilton.com.

Thanks! Do they charge immediately or upon check-in?
Edit update: looks like there's no pending charge on my card yet, so guessing it's the latter.

So they added rooms then cause it almost seemed like everyone picked em clean 10 days ago.
And yeah, Ive booked through Hilton.com before and they dont charge in advance.
Cheap rooms last round were 1k or 2q 1bdrm suite w/ sofa bed. These are 1k or 2q standard rm w/out sofa bed. These are slightly cheaper too. $123 w/ Hhonors status.

Oh I meant the hotel canceling and then making the rates higher
Very low. Unlike Airbnb hosts, Hotel chains such as Hilton, IHG, Hyatt, etc. go above and beyond to make their customers happy. Therefore, they won't cancel your booking because they forgot to jack up their rates.
You can also Frankenstein together a W2 reservation if you might have an issue with the Easter/Passover overlap. I had to do single night reservation for Thursday, two nights for Friday-Saturday, and one more single night for Sunday to get in at $130 a night. If you try for 3 or 4 nights together, it wants like 5x as much per night.
And if they try to cancel (all these hotels are franchises), customer service at the corporate level is usually pretty good about stepping in, though it might take some time/effort on your part. I had a Choice Hotels affiliated reservation in Palm Springs that I booked super cheap a year out try to cancel, and it got reinstated after a few emails/calls. (Ironically, I didn't end up using that reservation because Kings and Ducks both made playoffs so I had to work W1.)
I'm glad to get the Hilton reservation. I've already had two AirBnB hosts cancel confirmed reservations because they forgot to raise the rates. (I'd used Superhosts because they can lose that status if they cancel, but they must've figured the extra $ was worth losing the status.) Then I got another one confirmed and the host was like, "Well played getting in before the rates went up, but I'll still honor it," but it's nice having something a little more firm in case that host decides he wants 4x the money.

How does that work? Do you have to check out each time or will you get the same room for all four days ?
Well that was easy. What’s the likelihood of this getting canceled?
Not gonna happen, smaller hotels are more prone to doing that though, big chains will make up for it in other ways. I had that happen a few years ago after finding some Best Value Stay Inn or whatever that had rates really low and booked it. Then a bunch of other people piled on and it had sold out. A week later everyone got their reservations cancelled and they said it was priced wrong and it was fixed to like quadruple the price. For W2 of Coachella 2019 I had a situation which I just flipped on its head to my advantage. Had booked some random af spot in Desert Hot Springs through hotels.com for next to nothing and was fine all the way til arrival day. A friend of mine had booked the same place and calls me from there telling me they were trying to screw him over and say that it shouldve been cancelled and all this other bs. He gets it all sorted cause Hotels.com will cover the price on mix ups like that so at least Im prepared. I arrive a couple hours later and its the same thing, so I call em up and explain the deal except this time I dont even try to stay at the same place, since they said theyll cover a room thats at a similar rate that theyre charging. I asked the rep to look up places closer to the fest. Lo and behold they end up finding me a place in Cathedral City which ends up saving a lot of time to get to and from the fest and possibly meth heads breaking into my car.

Long-time lurker of this board and the old coachella board. Created an account just to say thank you very much!
I stayed here during my very first Coachella in 2014 and it was a nice experience.

It’s all the same room type/category. They should be able to consolidate them at the hotel during check in.

Eek, have you tried Ontario? About an hour out but still much closer than LAX, especially if there's traffic
