Some lofty expectations for a company that's been without revenue for what will be 2 years.
Thats why you see Live Nation trying everything they can to get revenue. They have shareholders to please. AEG is private so we dont truly know what is going on. Theyre not in the best shape financially, but it has to be good enough that they could decide to pass on the revenue. Their arena earnings could be whats keeping them afloat right now.

There was a rumor that Rage dropped all their festival dates but will keep their own shows and I've heard some things to suggest this is true. Also heard they were originally booked for ACL and Dia De Los Deftones too, not 100% sure on the validity on that though.

I think Dia De Los Deftones wouldve had to upgrade on venues if that was the case.

I think the 2020 Headliners were a great trio. Personally, I'd be thrilled to have an opportunity to see Frank Ocean and Rage Against The Machine at Coachella, but at the same time, it would be exciting to get a completely fresh trio of headliners for 2022.
Travis Scott moves to Friday Fleetwood Mac Saturday Frank Ocean Sunday
My headliner pool: Rage, MCR, Travis, Adele, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Frank, Fleetwood, BTS, and as a wildcard Daft Punk "reunion"/one last big show before going into deep retirement.
I think the Billie and Bad Bunny's will have to wait till 2023. That's really two years worth of headliners we missed out on.
