Everyone really riding high on Fleetwood Mac huh? I just don't see it happening without Lindsey re-joing the band to warrant that kind of money towards a headliner
Realistically we'll get something like this:
Billie Adele Travis Scott
Travis is the headliner I think is staying, especially if Rage doesn't move their tour. So that would be a bummer
Scratch this, I think it's maybe about time we get Chili Peppered again
Man, looks like they almost got Jacob Collier for next year. Tour dates lined up and then the LN LA shows and then in denver on the potential second weekend.
So whats the argument on April 2022 if GV is going to announce a show like this in LA County. This is not that far removed from potential Coachella dates a few weeks earlier. 🤔

Can someone explain to Supre the difference between a normal concert and a two weekend music festival with 100+ artists, over 15x the capacity each weekend, as well as on site camping and people traveling from all over the state/country/world to attend?
I think they cancelled because they couldn't or didn't want to do two in six months. I don't think it's a health thing.
Likely a mix of this and Covid (CA, camping, 2 weekends, international guests and acts)
I was pretty pissed and disappointed at first, but then I thought about it for a few min and it made some sense, especially when you consider 2 festivals in 6 months
I think they can use this as an opportunity for a smaller festival or some single shows, but lets see
Regarding the vaccine:
At least 82,772,416 people or 25% of the population have received at least one dose.
Overall, 42,521,057 people or 12% of the population have been fully vaccinated.
I think we should be good honestly by the fall time for most people if everything goes according to plan, but I am speaking about the US only
I will just look at this from a bright side POV:
I get to work at home until later in the fall, can go to an out of state festival in the fall, and then do Coachella next spring

As far as the health side, Coachella would get probably 100x the press any other festival would if there was a COVID *outbreak*, which given the media's focus on the festival would probably require a low threshold of cases before they started putting out headlines reading that Coachella caused a case spike, like that dumb herpes story a couple years ago. So I can see that being a consideration for them, too, tbh.

So Roo isnt in a similar situation and obviously moving forward with plans given that new camping plan? What’s the argument of them not holding the festival when its a month earlier in Sept? Is it because its one weekend or its not a headline grabbing event or cause they dont have more risk attached to pulling it off? And they would be in the same boat as Coachella with having 2 festivals in under a year, but apparently thats acceptable for them and the few others which would be held in sept/oct and are normally in the spring.
You know that theres a good chance GV is making the wrong call here, but we have to find ways to totally justify it so we accept their choice. And if they were so firm with this decision then why does it seem that we were given a false alarm last week? Like I said, they should wait til June to decide.

As we’ve seen in years past.... Live Nation has no trouble booking a generic festival for the masses. It should hardly surprise anyone that the larger Live Nation events plan to move forward this year with the current acts available.

Pretty sure Coachella knows what they're doing better than you do, supre. We're better off trusting GV than listening to some dipshit on Inforoo who constantly gets shit wrong.
Like the Hives, another act going 2 weeks between EU/US shows/tour legs. Do promoters know something we don't or is it a simple pre-caution?
When did the Hives announce US dates?
Nothing announced for the Us. Hives have some Europe stuff in mid Sept, then 2 week break before Mexico festival. Surely there will be more US dates to come as the Mexico date makes zero sense otherwise.
