Also it seems like they're taking all these type of festivals out of Long Beach.. think that's about 3 fests, that are usually in LB, that are in other cities now.
Once Upon a Time in LA changed promoters. ITs not Goldenvoice anymore so seems that Snoop just went elsewhere with his fest. There is also some limbo with the queen Mary because the company that operates it filed for bankruptcy this year. They controlled the park next to the ship and how can you put an event on if theres major financial issues at hand. Theyre fortunate that Pasadena is there and might end up being the new spot for events and fests. Its at least more LA adjacent than trekking down to Long Beach.

Long Beach is a convenient location for people in parts of West LA, South LA and Orange County to get to.. and especially me since I live here downtown LB lol. I miss being able to just walk over to a festival.
If anyone has used it in the past, is Preferred Parking worth it? Thinking about adding it to my tab
Parking probably wont be as bad as you think, so if you just wanted to get regular parking youll be fine. Theyre gonna have a shuttle to get out of the fest anyway and it was free for The Cure. Theres plenty of parking lots around the shuttle stop that are cheap for all day in Pasadena.

Thanks. Yeah, regular parking has never been an issue - 2A and 15D have been my go-tos the past couple years. I was just wondering if Preferred was worth it in terms of getting in and coming out, i.e. whether there's a dedicated entrance/exit for the Preferred lot?

One year I had a horrendous regular parking experience and we started getting the preferred parking, and had no regrets. Generally, I dunno that it’s necessary, we just had a big group and the one bad experience was enough to make that decision for us

doesn't look like preferred gets a special entrance. just the club passes from what I saw. I've never had trouble with the regular lot.

I should clarify: the hellish year for me, if memory serves, the lots were full. Never heard of that happening before, I think it was because car campers moved to day parking to leave that night (it was a Sunday). That was 2018. Took over two hours to go less than a mile and get parked eventually.
I was talking about Coachella didn't realize the conversation shifted to Just Like Heaven
Just gonna go with the regular degular lots. Appareciate the feedback, y'all
haha, I thought so at first but then Surpre started talking about the Cure.
I think preferred parking at coachella is near the shuttle drop off so you'd use that same entrance, but regular lots are fine if you don't mind walking a bit further.
Hiatus Kaiyote, The Marías, Isaiah Rashad, AND Tyler, The Creator all drop tonight oh boy
Who says Rashad?
I thought TDE said he was dropping at the end of June? It's the last Friday in June.. maybe they pushed it back? Probably doesn't want to drop the same day as Tyler because Tyler will pull attention away from him. I remember they pushed Damn back a week just to let Joey Bada$$ have a week to himself before Kendrick took everyone's attention.
Ok this is by far my favorite Hiatus Kaiyote album and that's saying a lot. Really hope Coachella nabs them for 2022. Outdoor sunset into night would be the perfect vibe, especially if they'd mostly run through this album. Stone or Lavender and Red Room in the dark whoo. But knowing Coachella they'd put them 4-5 o'clock on the Outdoor
Tyler's album.. it's mixed and mastered extremely well. And I'll also say this is probably my favorite Tyler album now. I feel like it's a mash of Cherry Bomb, Flower Boy, and Igor but mastered. The production has that same feel without being as distorted sounding. It's hard and lush at the same time. He'd definitely be a headliner now, too bad we're backed up on line ups so he won't get to off of this album. And glad he's back to really rapping.
