Bummer about Dua Lipa, but excited to say we won our court case this morning against our short term rental host that refused to refund us our 10k from last April. So I’m still chalking this day up as a victory!

Sweet! What did the asshole try to argue? That theyre poor and needed the money?

He tried every trick in the book to avoid paying us just in the hopes that we’d give up. Even went as far as having a friend say it was him when we tried to serve him, so he could claim he was never served.
What’s sad is we understood this was a shitty situation for him, and said he could either keep all of the money and schedule us for the next W2 Coachella event, or he could provide us 75% back and keep 25% for his troubles when we first requested a refund. He told us to fuck off both requests. So now he has to pay back 100% and take a lien out against his house to do it. I’ve literally never taken so much pleasure in someone else’s misfortune.

Fuck that guy. Hopefully there are never rentals at that house again. Glad you got the money back, so you're buying all of us freshers?!

I don’t see how GV not getting Dua is a big miss. If she’s asking for a headlining spot and Coachella is retaining Rage, Travis and Frank then I don’t blame them. She probably just wasn’t even an option and honestly, anybody hoping for Dua was bound to be disappointed.

She is one of the biggest stars out there right now I think it’s a bit of a miss for both parties . But if she was requesting headliner I can see the friction. A sub headliner spot would have been perfect imo . But as you stated she probably wasn’t in play at all .
supposedly that Glenroy Coachella hotel site right near to the fest that went bankrupt has a new buyer out of the bankruptcy proceedings. we shall see if that comes through

It’s definitely a little weird to launch your hotly anticipated new tour on the exact same weekend as Coachella when most of the trade press will be focused there. I didn’t have my hopes too high for getting Dua, but it would have been an obvious home run. Would glad trade any of the headliners for her

Id be pretty shocked if she isnt in the US in either the fall or winter

That’s what I would have said two months ago but it’s getting late for that. Maybe now that she’s rescheduled these dates the US ones will Be coming shortly

I think its gonna be around that iHeart Radio date. Who knows, maybe I am wrong. But not getting to the US until July 2022 seems like a big fail on her team
No way does she wait another full year to tour the states when America is in the best situation for live music right now besides Australia.
Lots of big acts are still holding off for the fall though. The liability situation with insurance is still iffy for large promoters.
Not many artists are riding off the success of a major album as they ascend to headliner status for festivals. Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, etc can take the year off because they are who they are. The others have to make up that time before the next big artists start popping up. It's hard to believe she will have no touring from now till April of next year.

Unless they wanna use Lolla and onward as the u.s starting point. Still way too far into the future for fans here. At least Ill be able to see her at Glastonbury cause with the new dates there doesnt seem to be a doubt she is back on for that at least.

got my passes for Cruel World (Sunday). looks like the demand is still there since it's pretty tough to pull VIP or any of the clubhouse offerings and GA is already up to tier 3.
edit: well now all tiers are allowing me to add, so not quite what I thought.
Its not like they sell a lot of tier 1 or 2 tickets anyway. Im sure the resale for sunday will be a good bargain when this fest finally happens. borderline 50 year olds and a sunday out at a festival is a no no.
