I have to say, the hold music for Festival Ticketing's customer support line could be worse. Been on hold for almost an hour...only had to call over a hundred times to get through.

Interesting because I was talking to people at Lays HQ and they mentioned that they didn't sell out fully but had to hold back tickets to keep the idea that the Lays 4D Tasting Experience was in high demand.
I think part of the problem is that while Lays has heavy brand recognition amongst Millennials, Millennials are largely aging out of the chips market as they've either turned to caviar or methamphetamines by this point. Gen Z is just largely more reluctant to embrace Lays and are pushing for more diversity in chip companies, and seem to prefer watching people eat chips on TikTok rather than eating the chips themselves. Nothing that Lays can do about this, but I have some strategies that might turn the tide back in their favor.
Lays chased the Gen Z market and started shipping out more and more flavors and products, from Deviled Egg flavored chips to the revolutionary Lays Stax chips. It's a hard brand shift, however - the diehard fanbase that clamored for BBQ Lays is feeling left out and I think that Lays is leaving some serious money on the table by ignoring their day one fanbase. A roster of returning to the classics of Lays Original, Lays BBQ, and Lays Sour Cream & Onion, rather than going for new chip flavors and innovative ways to change the traditional chip up, would be more cutting edge and *exactly* what Lays needs to revitalize the youth. You know, what's old is new again, right?
Also the fact that so many Lays are sold at gas stations is definitely hurting them - sure it was a move to have a "destination" chip but as gas is so much more expensive these days, it is a harder sell to expect consumers to buy Lay's Wavy chips after they've paid for their gas, and the bundling packages with Lays Dip is an even harder pill to swallow.
Increased competition from Taki's and Tim's Kettle Chips have surely softened demand, but at the same time, its clear that while Lays may have less demand compared to the peak Lays bubble of that 2011-2014 period, they are still moving far more chips than Doritos, and poor Ruffles has only sold about 30K bags of chips *this year*.
What do you all think - is there anything Lays can do proactively to ensure they can move all spots for the Lays 4D Tasting Experience next year?

Happy to report I saw King Gizz last night and they are still the best band around. I think I’ll forever be partial to the 2017/2018 era where their shows were a 90 min turbo medley of Nonagon/I’m In Your Mind Fuzz/Murder Of The Universe, but this show was so damn fun switching between a bunch of styles. Also The Dripping Tap was as good of a closer as Head On Pill or Am I In Heaven, just absolutely ripped. Must-see show especially if it’s at night in a tent.

There was a Lay’s tent at Bonnaroo 2018 and they made you take a picture on your phone of you in a Lay’s themed photo booth to get a small bag of Lay’s. I was on mushrooms and the experience was not fun. I was convinced they were going to put me in a Lay’s commercial for some reason.

I was there, too. I only know about 25 of their albums well, so I only knew about half the songs well and wasn't that into the first 50 minutes or so. But the last 40 minutes were much more captivating for me. I'm so glad I finally got to see them play Mr. Beat because I love that song and they haven't played it the other six times I've seen them, even when I saw them on the Nonagon tour. Then having that segue into a flute jam seamlessly into Hot Water was fantastic. I agree about Dripping Tap being a great closer, though I was surprised they didn't play an encore.
As stacked as Friday is, I'm glad I saw them last night and won't mind missing them if there's a tough conflict.

Wow I didn’t even realize they played 90 mins, it felt shorter to me. 50 mins at Coachella is going to fly by.
My camping pass, which I ordered in Jan 2020, isn't going to make it before I leave tomorrow (brilliant job Goldenvoice) and we still don't have a schedule.
I love Coachella but sometimes I wonder how they stumbled into being the premier North American music fest.

So gonna put this out there again in apparent non drug seeking code lol. If anyone thats camping and will arrive thursday, im trying to see if somebody can go to the old merch sale ( if its happening ) that they normally do and find something. Its from 2019 so its not something insanely rare. Thats it. Pm if youre able. Thanks.

Should be able to pick it up at will call
Oh I am banking on that, but given the number of posts about delayed or lost tickets that I've seen, I was really hoping to avoid that headache.

We never get the schedule before Tuesday evening. The camping pass thing sucks though.
Wait til next year when Frank Ocean headlines the H&M stage. Coachella as much flack as they get for being a big corporate festival hasn’t sold out completely yet. They’ll do that before they go back to 1 weekend.

2012 is not walking through that door, fans. 2008 is not walking through that door, and 2004 is not walking through that door. And if you expect them to walk through that door, they’re going to be stale and expired. What we are is young, exciting, hungry, and we’re going to improve. People don’t realize that, and as soon as they realize those three years are not coming through that door, the better this town will be for all of us because there are new chips in the game marketing their asses off.
I somehow managed to return an extra wristband thru Lyte. I also returned an extra shuttle pass last night. However - how do I know which of our physical items were invalidated?
Trying to get through the customer service now....
I just tried and my tickets don't show. Did you register your tickets before using Lyte?
Ive been lurking for the last like two years for the most part, flying out to San Diego tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited. Can't wait to get back to the fields!
