Does Princess Nokia suck live? Her music’s fun but I recall someone saying she performed drunk or something.
I saw her live at Lolla 21 and her and her DJ were absolutely blasted. The DJ was spamming the airhorn sound throughout her entire set and occasionally he'd cut in the mic to say something stupid. They even hi ted at the fact that they were fucked up later in the show but by then a lot of ppl already left.
It was embarrassing and I love princess nokia. Hopefully she fired her DJ after that because he was the bigger problem; she was still hitting most of her bars.

The funny thing is youre in the minority of people who actually read that part of the newsletter instead of just scrolling to the showlist and passwords.
One thing I've never been able to reconcile in my head.
PT has said in interviews he books the festival with slots in his head of where everyone is going so he's very cautious about booking stages and genres where he wants. But then set times come out (less than) 48 hours before the fest because he's also said agents are arguing over slots and bookings at the last minute.
So does he have it planned in his head all fall then agents overrule him in April when their acts get bigger and his 'vision' is compromised? Never got if this was just an excuse to delay release.

Not surprised after the bullshit I went through with them...tried to warn people a few wks ago. The manager there is absolutely trying to shaft people and does not give a shit about your confirmed rate.

A lot of us got a deal for the weekend. Normally it would 400-600 a night
i suppose i won’t be going until i graduate med school so who knows what the rates will be then
camping is always affordable!

you could get tent camping and skip the car rental. There's even a shuttle from LAX. car camping is the way to go though. Split 2-3 ways it's super cheap.
