The hosts on the website were so crazy uninformed about the festival (for example Joe Kay saying Grupo Firme was the first Mexican band to play the main stage, after LAA and Tucanes played in 2018 and 2019) so I wouldn't take that comment as the gospel.
It should be noted however that a number of acts have a different day for W2 on the app apparently, and so it could be that the set times for W1 were rejiggered last minute to fit Arcade Fire for W1, and then they will revert to "normal".
There's precedence both ways - Pixies/Julian in 2014 ended up playing both weekends, Rex Orange County and Sunday Service were special guest adds for just one weekend.
Was surprised to read in Pitchfork's fest review that Turnstile played to a half empty tent
That whole article was a bit off. They spend the first half discussing about how streaming metrics are more available than ever but it’s harder to hear songs out of car windows so who can say if Coachella is accurately capturing current trends in music or not (??) immediately followed up by saying that Canadians dominated this year’s international offerings while completely omitting every Asian/Latin act that played.
Day 3 was by far the best day. Started the day with Altin Gün, such a fun set, and very emotional for me to see. Went to Yuma afterwards so that we can avoid sun a bit longer - Luttrell was playing, and it was okay but didn’t pay too much attention tbh.
Followed up with Kim Petras > Fred again.. and both were really good. Would like to catch Fred again in a club one day. Karol G was next, and definitely the surprise of the day for me. Very fun to watch the Latin pop music medley she did.
Watched Nathy Peluso afterwards. She’s such a star and an amazing stage presence. It was sad to see Sonora emptied halfway since she conflicted with Doja Cat, whose second half of the set was fun from what I listened to. Finished the day with Jamie xx, who undoubtedly gave one of the best performances of the weekend.
Overall, it’s been a really good weekend, proved to me, once again, Coachella is one of the best festivals in the world, with a wide variety of acts you wouldn’t see in other festivals over 3 days. I’ll most likely be back next year.

In real time he went on when he was supposed to and did 70 mins or so. Cause it was about 10:40 when I finally saw Outdoor was quiet and a rush of people had moved to Main.
