It was a coin toss when I made my vote but the “people will come to their senses” line I don’t like

Last night I did 2 rereads before bed and slept ony thoughts. One reread I forced the idea of Theo being mafia, one reread I forced the idea of rummy being mafia. I think if you guys reread like that you'd feel the same apprehension I do - theo seems sus af

Remember: forcing a mafia lense on this. There was one post I read that I think could be a potential breadcrumb if theo is actually mafia so I'm gonna leave it out
So him voting for himself literally does not make sense as town anyway. We've had discussion upon discussion about how individualistic this game and idk why town theo would just off himself right away- unless he's mafia. This could be viewed as self preservation because he could just switch off if he needed to. Also, it could be so he doesn't reveal a voting pattern with teammates. It could also be plain confidence that his teammates will save him
Superstacked KPO then switch to jortles after I called him out. Mafia trying to speed up the game and get away with a straight exile? Or mafia trying to distance?
I want to see what MD does first. I am leaning towards Theo but don’t want an outright exile

Really weird post from our boy T. Maddog called him out on it too and T never replied. Essentially T originally superstacked Theo and then switched off to superstack Jortles instead and cited revoters? He never expounded on it and I think it's really weird to use revoting as a reason when no revoting happens after a superstack. Saving Theo? It's also weird when you consider that T is voting for Rummy now saying she's "sus af" when all she did was say "don't exile me I'm town". Seems weird that he's throwing heat on rummy after defending theo
If theo is mafia this could be a distancing vote from teammate. Mafia Maddog votes for mafia theo with a cop out reason "even up". These votes are so annoying and provide nothing.
Now again this was a forced mafia theo read but all of these pieces fit to form a pretty solid mafia picture imo. Him voting for himself, the massive lol, him being weirdly resigned. It just seems like mafia play to me
I agree with the weirdly resigned/trying to be too chillax vibe=sus for Theo, but I don’t want to read too much into his initial vote for himself. Because just as easily as it could be a mafia move (I think the idea that it was a way to avoid leaving a trace of voting pattern for initial vote could be true), it also could’ve been him joking around as town at the very start because he knew he was going to switch very soon.
But then that begs the question: why?? Jesting around is fine , I do it too, but actually voting as a joke? Idk...

You're not even in line to be exiled right now so it isn't like "a bunch of people" are wanting to exile you. I just did a reread with a mafia lens on you and all of those things stick out to me when I read it like that

What is weird about it? I explicitly recognized “this could be a town joke vote move,” but then explained I think it is one thing to make jokes here and there on D1 but actually VOTING as a joke is a different story, and something I don’t do.
Was there something not clear in my distinction between the two?
